Hudson, McGill and Williams? Or does Murphy give Devin the night off?

Narrator: Devin should've been given the night off.

When he’s throwing 91 MPH fastballs, he’s got nothing left.  He’s just coming back from injury and pitched a long inning last night.

And missing the target by a mile with most of them. At least for those last couple of batters.

Yes, and then we got a K back on Goldschmidt that also should have been a walk.

Nootbar should have been struck out. Was higher than Sanchez pitch

Chill the hell out dude. We are like over 6 weeks away from the playoffs

Every inning, every pitch matters. Wear and tear adds up, and if we can save guys, I’d certainly like to do it. And also:

calm the big lebowski GIF

Williams was freaking terrible tonight.   He wasn’t even close on most pitches.   I don’t fault him though.  Megill wins that game tonight

He threw 17 pitches last night after throwing 10 pitches on Saturday.  That's not being run into the ground.

He's pitched in (checks notes) 5 games in the last week, 5 out of the last 6 games, with an average outing of over 16 pitches per outing, all the while returning from a major injury that has kept him out most of the season.

He has indeed been run into the ground.

Last two fastballs were 92 and 91…..

yeah because he was trying to throw a strike

I'm smiling over here because in some thread somewhere today someone mentioned how happy everyone is around here and another response to that was "just wait until the in game thread when questionable decisions are made..." or something to that affect...

..and here we are.

Complaining about a strike that wasn't even a strike is weak sauce. Yes, this umpire has sucked. No, that wasn't an actual strike to Nootbar.

He only pitched in one game of the Cleveland series, so it hasn't been 5 of the last 6 games.  He threw 7 pitches last Wednesday, 16 on Thursday, 10 on Saturday and 17 last night.  That's not run into the ground.

What’s gonna happen come playoff time when you need him multiple times in a row?

I'm LMAO too. You're crying because Nootbar didn't get rung up on Ball 4 when the very next hitter actually DID get rung up on Ball 4.  Is every close pitch that doesn't go our way just a total injustice?

When this umpire has missed like 30 calls tonight and been super inconsistent?
