The Goonies ruined Babe Ruth's legacy for me. I can't see his name without saying "Bay-bee Rooth?"  like Sloth.

(and yes, I know the candy bar is not named after the baseball player)

Welp, now I'm thinking of the Caddyshack pool scene.

he hits his second homer.

His 2nd opposite field screamer. His power to the opposite field is... I dunno, the best I've ever seen from a player of his stature? Every time one tries to describe what he's doing, they struggle to not sound hyperbolic.

The scary thing is he could get a lot stronger over the next 4 years or so.

I didn't think his ceiling was 35 homers a year but I think he could do that next season if Brewers keep him with protection behind him.

I assume next year will be something like Turang/Chourio/Yelich/Contreras vs RH and Chourio/Yelich/Contreras vs LH. Goodness that's going to be fun.

Jackson in the playoffs: 455/500/1000/1500

He takes a 3-game hitting streak into next year's playoffs.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Two bits of anecdotal evidence from last night that have me convinced now more than ever that Chourio will be the one to save us from our collective postseason misery and finally lead us to the promised land....

1) Catches the final out of the top of the 9th inning and proceeds to full-scale heave the ball into the second deck.

2) After being left in the on deck circle as the potential tying run after Turang's GIDP, stares into the crowd for a solid minute, and then as the Mets are celebrating on the field, shatters his bat into a million pieces

This kid, at 20 years of age in his first season, already wants it as badly as we all do....
