Mets looking pretty bad against the Dodgers, at least I won't have to hear that every team that beats the Brewers makes the World Series anymore.

If it is I'll do my part in making it the lowest rated World Series ever.

Why can't the Brewers front office be smart and sign a free agent superstar like the Yankees do in Juan Soto?

Why can't the Brewers front office be smart and sign a free agent superstar like the Dodgers do in Ohtani?

Why can't the Brewers front office be smart and retain an all-star pitcher like the Dodgers do in Kershaw?

What is that you tell me?  The MLB is crooked and geared and tilted towards big market teams?  How could any professional sports league get away with such a thing?  Fans and media would be all over it and not allow themselves to be hooked into such unfairness?

Modern day Ted Williams....

I hate both teams, but Yankees-Dodgers should be an incredible World Series with all that star power.

Yankees have 2 generationally good hitters on their roster. Among players with at least 4000 career PA, Juan Soto's 158 wRC+ is 12th all time and Judge's 173 wRC+ is 3rd all time.

I honestly cannot imagine how big his contract will be this offseason being a 26 year old FA. I'm thinking 12/$420M might even undersell him. He might get $500M.

Assuming the Dodgers advance, this should be a world series with a lot of slugging. I don't like either team but this is where we are.

Yeah, but the only reason they have that star power is because they can afford it.  Tigers v Brewers would be just as compelling with the same star power.  It just highlights the disparity.  I'd bet that is going to be one of the lowest relatively rated WS in history.

I hope it is. The only way to get the change necessary is if nobody watches. I think MLB and the media have the mindset that the two largest markets in the biggest game is the best way to get ratings. I'm not sure it is anymore. I guess we'll find out.

This past Thursday I was in anchorage with some time to kill so I walked around a mall on the south side of town. I went into a store called Lidz which sells hats and team apparel. Just to see what they had for the Brewers. They had walls covered with hats floor to ceiling. Zero Brewers hats. They even had a Montreal Expos hat for sale but zero Brewers and they weren’t just sold out either. Contrast that with Yankees and Dodgers, they had a couple dozen varieties of hat for each of them. Read into that whatever you will.

Sure, but if the Tigers had the Ohtani, Betts and Freeman and the Brewers had Judge, Soto and Stanton, I bet that changes.  How many NFL teams were represented at Lidz?  I bet every one of them.  I had the same experience at the same store in Daytona a week ago, but thy had plenty of Packer gear and every other NFL team.

I went to a Lids in Vegas this summer and asked the guy working if he had anything Brewers. He laughed at me.

Unpopular opinion: if the Brewers are out, I enjoy watching classic juggernauts go at it in the WS.

I'd much rather watch this series than Tigers vs Braves

I agree, but I don't want to watch that matchup too many times.
