Without looking back, I think I remember that there were a few posters that wanted Seitzer when CC left last year.

He was a hot name last year.  I would still take him as a manager as I don't believe managers have that much of an impact on a team.  If they did then why did the Cubs not improve with one of the best managers in the league and why did the Brewers have so much success without one of the best managers in the league?

If the Brewers wanted to bring Seitzer in to be a hitting coach I would be fine with that also.  Both Seitzer and Sal should find jobs rather quickly.  This sounds like more of sacrificial lambs than anything else.  Also 2025 is Snitker's final year as his contract ends after the 2025 season.  This maybe a last chance for Snitker in Atlanta.

Must be nice to have a lockdown SP who actually performs in the playoffs.

Skubal is almost single-handedly taking the Tigers to the ALCS.

ETA- the ultimate hex

Because the exact opposite of what you said is true, I have always disliked Craig Counsell.  He never went to bat for his players like Pat Murphy does, whether it be a bad call or the media getting on a player.

Murphy takes issues on full force and Counsell wined and moaned and scratched his head about everything.   Murphy is a leader, Counsell has shown nothing as to leadership, he is to nonchalant and laissez-faire about everything.

Skubal did toss 17 scoreless innings before that fateful fifth inning .today.

The Brewers might have won a couple more playoff games, and maybe a series,if Burnes or Woodruff could have delivered that when they had the opportunity.

Thinking they might have left Skubal in too long.

3rd time through tax got Skubal today. It's funny because people still talk about Snell being pulled and it not working, but does it get talked about when you stick with the starter and he falls apart like today?

Pretty easy to cheer for Cleveland over the remaining options.

I tend to adopt a team to root for but don't usually care too much. This time it's different. I actually care about them winning one. Mostly because of all the teams that have produced good teams a decent amount of time they are the one team that defies the more bites at the apple ideal. It's still amazing to me those 90's teams never won a single WS.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

In my heart I want Cleveland to win, but my head wants a high payroll team to win it all to shed light on the fact that the league is rigged against the small market teams.

Every time a small market team wins it, you can just hear the comments:  "see, small market teams can win it all, the league is fair, no salary cap works"

ugh

Whether no salary cap works or doesn't work is kind of immaterial at this point because the Players Association has been pretty unwaveringly against one for some time now.

Besides, salary caps are Socialist and baseball is American.

Is it okay for me to cheer for the Mets but hope winker gets a week-long case of food poisoning from some bad sushi.

It's okay for you to cheer for whoever you want! I'm personally rooting for the Dodgers to win this series because I want the "beat the Brewers in the playoffs and you go to the WS" crap to be done with

Dodgers' lineup firing on all cylinders now. And I don't think there's any team left in the postseason that can stop them.

Probably going to add Adames to their lineup next season, too.

From a probability standpoint:

Take the eight series (excluding 1982), then the expectancy would be 4.25 pennants (vs actual 8) and 3.125 WS championships (vs 5 actual).  Don't ask me to calculate the odds of current reality happening.

Lmao Winker.

My level of dislike for him is not reached Manny Machado levels but it certainly top 10 of current active players.

Same. Also not in favor of a cheap, year one WS ticket punch for David Stearns especially going through Milwaukee to do it.

Well the Phillies have actually won the World Series in fact multiple times in their history while we are one of the only teams that have never won so our complaints are far more valid.

People are just being intentionally obtuse. They've played in the World Series three times since 2008. That is not what the Brewers have done. That does not even include two LCS losses in the same timespan. Not even in the same galaxy.

They had a big gap of meh or losing between runs, which yes, I would gladly make that trade.

Guardians are the obvious preference. Then I'd take the Yankees, Dodgers, Mets in that order.
