Brewers fam:

I get it.
It’s been 42 years since we’ve seen the promised land.
We’ve endured years of mediocrity with occasional glimpses of greatness.
We’ve sat back and watched big market teams buy their way to success (or not) and bemoaned the limitations of our team.
We see waves of prospects come and go. Stars born, and fade, with no pennant to show for it.
We experienced the thrill of CC Sabathia putting the team on his back and the return to the playoffs.
We came mere innings away from a Game 7 victory in 2018.
We’ve become accustomed to making the playoffs….and then exiting without a fight.

It’s easy to get jaded.
To assume the same ol’ thing is going to happen,
Pack it in and fly the L.
But what’s the fun in that?
This may not be THE year, but this is a different year.
This team doesn’t give up and neither should you.

So when Myers gives up a homer, or Adames makes an error
When Hoskins has yet another GIDP, or Bauer K’s,
Don’t rip them to shreds.
Don’t post that the game is over.
Don’t complain that Murphy lost the game again.

Will them to victory.
Cheer for redemption.
Don’t give up hope.
Live on the edge of your seat with every pitch.
If you’re at the game, scream until your voice gives out.
If you’re watching with friends, jump and high five with every great play.
If you’re by yourself, fist pump and cheer even though no one else can hear.

Chances are, we will end the season with a loss,
And it’ll hurt when it’s over,
But this is a great team.
It’s a great game.
Let’s enjoy the October magic.

Selling tickets for $10 seems to be helping.

I still have one on Seat Geek, FIB sec 118 row 20.  Priced below Brewers prices.   Just in case anyone is going last minute.

Well done. 2nd & 3rd stanzas in particular are golden.

This may not be THE year, but this is a different year.

Here are Myers numbers with Contreras vs Sanchez catching him.

Contreras - 3.26 ERA, .230/.283/.369 slash, 22.8% K-rate, 6.5% BB-rate, 1.2 HR/9

Sanchez - 1.72 ERA, .267/.307/.397 slash, 20.5% K-rate, 6.3% BB-rate, 0.86 HR/9

Better ERA and HR numbers with Sanchez catching but worse slash line and worse K/BB rate with Sanchez catching...idk is Contreras hurt? Sanchez is also worse framing and blocking than Contreras and similar at pop times.

And it turns out Contreras is hurt. That sucks. Do not feel great about Sanchez defense behind home plate in a do or die game.

That explains why he has looked slow on the basepaths.

As usual……opposing fans finding out about Wisconsin nice…….they are always surprised……lol

The "golden retrievers" of sports?! So Brewers fans are overly friendly and  love to jump up on opposing fans...then back into their legs and lay on their feet repeatedly...and then demand to sleep in their beds? Meanwhile, we get overly worked up chasing foul balls only to overindulge chugging water just to puke on the concourse?

Sigh. They still don't see us.

And the winner of tonights' game gets to deal with the pit bulls😄.

Also, I'm making fun of and belittling them.  It's less stressful and they seem to perform better.
