Cortes joins Chourio by getting his worst game out of the way early - I’m confident his next start will be better

Is it possible to be worse?

Don't tell me what happens. I DVRd the game. Can't wait! GO Brewers!

4 - 3! Way to fight, boys! Glad I didn't leave after that 1st inning! We are right in this thing.

Misiorowski would be up here to walk 5 guys per 9 and get shelled. Kid isn't ready. If you want a prospect advocate for Yoho

Optimistic to think Mis would only walk 5 per 9.

Been a long run of above average teams going back to 2008.  The stretch from 1993 - 2007 is what this team may be more what the Brewers are like this year.  It is just a feel I am getting with our messed up starting rotation.   Hope I am wrong.

I turned the game off today after I turned it on in the bottom of 1st and saw Goldschmidt crossing home plate.   I had that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.  That's how the Brewers were before '08.

And darn it all it is all about the money.   Paying 30 - 70 million for one season of baseball for ONE player is obnoxious. (this goes for all of the 'professional' sports leagues)   I am old school and still remember when fans were making noise about $2 - $4 million dollar salaries.   Why are fans not making noise now?

Ok done ranting - the game sucked today.  (12-3 in bottom of 3rd with no outs)

Glad to see the game threads are in mid season form lol.

Always a treat in here.

We are literally setting records for awfulness today … 😂… like what were you expecting?

Yoho being sent back is everything wrong with Brewers right now. Agreed

That's not what I said. I agree with sending Yoho to AAA.

1. Preserve depth. DFAing guys is not the move right now with so many injured/below replacement level guys on the roster.
2. Service time. Manipulating it sucks for the players. Absolutely. But those are the rules of the game and the only way we can stay competitive. Yoho looks like the next star closer and we need to keep him for as long as possible

That's all well and good but meanwhile Conner Thomas is committing arson. You can't light the season on fire watching this

We are a Division 3 school playing against a Division 1 school.  UW-La Crosse vs. Duke.

Break up the MLB into divisions based on market size!

Make it make sense!

The Yankees defense is awful & they’re up 9 runs

Who needs defense when you have hall of famer sluggers and pitchers?

Before I advocate for Yoho I want to get through G and W Anderson, Easton McGee, García and Jay. Edit: woops forgot Bukauskas is injured again. I think

Oh and C-Rod pitched a gem in Nashville yesterday.

Worst part of it all is that the bats are not playing terribly. 70 pitches on Fried and we aren't even out of the 4th. And 4 runs.

I think that has more to do with the Yankees defense than our offense.

Our bargaining power is gone because they know we cannot afford our stars.

Cannot or won’t. In 2019 and 2022 they did have payroll in the 17-19th range in the league, but last few seasons more like 20-24th.

i like the moves they make, but cannot keep losing players and stay competitive.  This season may be that wake up call (may be for fans or just me). Hopefully management can and will spend into the 15th-18th range in payroll for a season or two like 2018-2019.

In part. But good offense means taking the chances you are given and they've done that (Ortiz pop out not inclueded)

If Nestor Cortes hasn’t settled on a baby name for his upcoming bundle of joy (and certainly wishing the family the best), Homer Bailey and Homer Bush have a suggestion. So does this guy…
