The AAA Sounds have dropped 2 games at Norfolk and send RHP Garrett Stallings out this morning for his 2nd spot start in 5 days (3 IP, 1 R, 1 K on Sunday). 3B Anthony Seigler’s on-base streak is up to 33 games.

SS Christopher Acosta struck out looking to start the game, then singled the other way his 2nd time up.

He’s now 1-for-27 in his debut season for DSL Brewers Gold. Way to get on the board!

With the offense struggling as bad as it is in Milwaukee don’t they have to give Seigler a shot at some point?

I get the sentiment, and if it works roster-wise, it's fine, but he's got a .372 BABIP. His production is most likely smoke and mirrors.

I think people have fallen into a trap with looking at individual BABIP over the years. Yes, a high BABIP often means you're due for regression, but when you hit your batted balls at an ideal launch angle more than anyone else in all of AAA, as well as having a well above-average hard hit rate and average EV, .372 actually isn't a crazy high number. Is he overperforming? Probably a bit. But not by a ton, imo.

True and I hope I am wrong but his career numbers are pretty pedestrian to bad. Yeah he could have figured everything out. He is a former #1 pick so it's possible.

Rijo keeps producing. Early most pleasantness of DSL surprises for me. Dalbec is on another of his Triple-A heaters. I love Him.

Welp, 2 Hudson free passes w two down. And the not so good version of Craig Yoho and we suddenly have a 5-5 ball game bottom of the 8th. Ouch.

Jesus Liranzo got a called strike 3 to end the game. It was challenged and changed to ball 4. The next batter hit a 3-run walkoff HR.

Yoho 20 pitches 9 strikes

He was sent back down to figure out how to throw more strikes.  Ugh ... this ain't it.

Man this week keeps on taking! I'm ready for another: Hurt Me!

Also: A beautifully painful example of why you really try to ensure you have a challenge remaining for .the 9th inning and possible Extras.

Where is he going to play? Two errors in only 45 career innings at 3B.

It doesn't appear the Brewers have any desire to move Turang to SS midseason.

Maybe they could give Seigler regular DH at bats if Yelich is going to need an IL stint.

2B Ethan Murray returns from injury for his first game since May 14, as AA Biloxi tries to dig out of a 2 games to 0 hole in their series in Chattanooga. RHP KC Hunt appears to have turned a corner (last 15.1 IP: 4 R, 12 H, 3 BB, 21 Ks).

The Low-A Mudcats have lost 6 of their last 7 games, so need a win behind 19-year old Bryce Meccage (3.07 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 9.8 K/9 in 29.1 IP) to turn things around. Despite his .210 AVG, LF Tyler Rodriguez is 5th in the Carolina League in OBP (.428).

High-A Wisconsin is tied 1-1 in their series at Great Lakes and starting RHP Jaron DeBerry aims for a strong start like last week (5.1 IP, 2 R, 5 H, 0 BB, 4 Ks). SS Eduardo Garcia‘s on-base streak is up to 23 games.

{Note: their lineup graphics haven’t matched the actual batting order very well this week. MILB.com shows Baez leading off, Eduardo batting 5th…)

Welp another disastrous start for Biloxi and Carolina tonight. Hunt yields 2 runs in the 1st. And Meccage on the hook for 5 ER as Carolina down 6-0

Remember those Mudcats that team was really good back in the days, ah yes I remember that Mudcats team from .... April/May of 2025. Seems like seasons ago.  That team could score at will, and the pitching was average to above average with a few exceptional outings. Boy it's crazy how things change over the years ... err weeks.

KC Hunt shows some signs of improvement, but he really is just not that same guy we saw dominate last season who was a complete bulldog.  He is laboring to get through innings and trying to keep guys off the bases. Just a different look, feel and body language.
