Turner has value. He could not have been utilized worse this season. He is a system player 100% and we don't have any system, let alone a bad one. His use was completely puzzling at times.

From what I have read other NBA GM’s believe the Bucks overpaid for Turner.  His contract is over inflated and if he were a FA today he wouldn’t get close to what he is getting now.

He's gone. They sat him to prevent further injury and anyone using it to negotiate a weaker return this summer. They didn't move him at the deadline because they correctly, for once, assumed that there would be a larger pool of suitors this summer. There will be teams not truly contending at the moment that think he can get them there, versus the handful or so of teams that would have added him during the year. He's gone though.

I am as happy about it as you can be. He's too good to watch waste away here. We don't have the assets or flexibility to make it work, I'd rather see him play the twilight of his career as a winner. And it's our only path forward. They need draft capital/infusion of youth to ever be worth watching again.

Maybe, but it’s impossible to consistently win without a superstar, and equally hard to find a superstar.

On top of thatThe GM probably loses his job in the next year or two, unless he threads the needle perfectly. Finally brand value, marketing etc are all significantly diminished with a trade.

I’m not so sure the bucks don’t try to go for broke one more time trade the three first round picks they have, and try to clear salary in order to bring in some players like they’ve done each time. Giannis has been eligible for an extension previously.

The bucks will owe Doc 10 million and Griffin 4.5 million next year. I don't see a top candidate like Jenkins wanting to come here with so much uncertainty and I don't see the bucks paying top dollar for a coach. Now if Giannis does indicate that he will sign the supermax in October that would change things. I think he is gone and the roster will be young. I like the idea of hiring a guy like Sean Sweeney, Sam Cassel, Chris Quinn, etc

Coaching plan... Hire Sam Cassell. This team isn't going to be good for a while and it will take 2-3 years to have the resources to even start fully rebuilding. Give Sam a couple years and hopefully in 3 years we have enough young talent to hire a top candidate like Hurley or something.

Agree, he is still an athletic big who can shoot and block shoots. We might have to take an iffy contract back but we should get a 1st. My proposal was Turner for Jonathan Isaac, Goga Bitzade/Anthony Black, and the Magic 2026 1st. We get young rotational piece in Goga/Black and a mid round 1st for Turner and taking the bad Isaac deal. The Magic get a perfect big to make an impressive lineup of Suggs, Bane, Wagner, Paolo, Turner and go for it 1 more year before possibly blowing it up,

I just hope it isn't Ham and its not in the Rivers /Bud coaching trees. Bucks need a complete makeover.

I want nothing to do with Hurley.  I understand being demonstrative, but Hurley goes well over the top.

Tho I personally wouldn't hire from within Doc's staff - for obvious reasons - orgs do tend to like familiarity and the Bucks are absolutely slaves to their status quo. I say this to say: the best game played all season long by the Buck, imho, was the sole game Hambone coached. Does this mean Ham deserves the HC job and his 2nd opportunity in the League? I have absolutely zero idea. But his team performed and had a nice night.

I think Ham or whoever as HC for the Bucks will be fine if no Giannis.  Looking for a HC right now shouldn’t be the main focus.  Whoever is picked will just be a temporary HC until one is actually needed.

If Giannis is returning then the Bucks are going to be the same as they are now.  I am not sure there is a HC out there that will improve the team.
