This radio broadcast of the game sounds good in either Mono or Sterio!

What do you do for a living?

Do you interject puns like this in daily conversations or just here in the forum?

If married, does your spouse appreciate your wit?

Any chance that Ortiz has been looking over his shoulder waiting for the benching the last month and now that he got the vote of confidence of no deadline move to replace him, he’s going to have a great last two months?

Not much noise from the “bench Contreras” crowd lately.

This crowd has changed its’ wrath to Lockridge, who incidentally is 0-3 today.

My wife is very blessed!

Let's put that to rest!

And don’t forget his defensive misplay to the first Nats batter of the day 😏

By nature, I’m an “improver” (aka “perfectionist”)

My wife of nearly 40 years tells everyone “my perfectionist personality” was cute … when we were dating 😏

You may not want to speak for your wife!

I love everything about Murphy except his in game decisions (pitching changes, when he asks players to bunt, etc.).

The pocket pancakes bit on AppleTV+ was hilarious. He has so much “woo” gifting. He literally is fun to be around.

With apologies to Murphy, because obviously he did something right with the lineup today, I don’t quite know what he saw in Lockridge’s profile that made him think, “I need to get this guy the most possible ABs of anyone on the team in the first game from the first day he walks in the door.”

So the haters who've been gone for two months but had fun last 36 hours can log back off until the loss in October?

We will see them for a few weeks later this year when one of Ortiz or Durbin gets hurt for a minute. But yes.. they are due back in October.

Every fifth day we need to score plenty of runs. It is unlikely that Quintana will hold any team under three runs in his six innings. Assuming he stays healthy, his greatest contribution may be eating innings & saving the bullpen.

He has speed so he has to leadoff. Who cares if he can't get on base.

Then I would have to take her gag off!

I'm not disagreeing with you because I would not have started him or played him or traded for him...

BUT

... Maybe there is something to this irrational belief that we are shoving down all these misfits faces that are causing them to believe in themselves finally and thrive?

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

With Frelick, Turang, & Chourio (IL) not starting today, none of his leadoff guys were available. I assume Lockridge leading off will be the exception.
