Makes sense. Miz really needs to cut down on innings if we aspire to use him in September or October

He should be ready he last pitched in Nashville on July 26th went 5.1 innings on 84 pitches.

I get what you mean - they have scored more runs than most. However, they had two total hits yesterday. Granted that was against 6 innings of one-hit Woodruff, and we have a spot starter today. The top of their order does seem pretty dangerous. 
 

Lord also no-hit, no-walked us at AmFam over 2.1 innings before the ASB. I think the Nats are probably moving him into the rotation by process of elimination after the moves at the trade deadline. He’s been fairly effective as a long-ish pen arm.

Also had large reverse splits throughout the minors.  Don't see the need to platoon at this point.

I think I'd rather have Monasterio in the lineup over Seigler. Actually, I don't have to think, I would.

Gotta try to get Siegler going at some point. His peripherals are good. If the production catches up you have another weapon, and they have about 50 days to figure it out.

Little side quest to monitor... If Logan Henderson exceeds 45 days on the major league roster this year he loses his rookie status next year. I'm assuming this is a one day and done scenario... but let's see. I want the draft pick for his ROTY win next year ;)

I don't know about the analytics, but when I watch Seigler at the plate he usually doesn't look overmatched. He just doesn't scream ".180" to me, or whatever it is he's hitting. That said, I'm surprised he's getting the run he's been getting lately.
