Good 'ole Crazy Joe Dillon, shown here staring down Ned Yost to keep him in line.

Good representation of Sundays game... 😢

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I am delighted to not be the only fan to still use that nickname!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Just checked the 2024 magic number thread..

on 8/26/24 we were posting '21s' .. we were 75-55 on that date. We are 82-50 now but with the Cubs strong season we sit on #26 entering the day.

Division and #1 seed: 24

Clinch the postseason: 15

We have a new "next team to be eliminated" - Pittsburgh: 5

Washington joins Colorado in no longer being able to catch the Brewers - they're too "Light" in the win column:

For #25, we have the very inspirational Jim Abbott. Abbott collected his only two career hits as a member of the Brewers.

Absolutely love this thread for two reasons:

1. It's become an annual routine thread started in late summer because the Brewers keep finding themselves in playoff contention atop their division.

2. Its a great way to go back in time and remember players you forgot ever donned a brewer uniform.  I loved Abbott growing up and completely lost the fact he was a Brewer at the end of his career.  That said, almost a 7 ERA in 1999 probably had alot to do with my recall, lol.
