I don’t know that Ebel would have lasted much longer because hit over power types were generally going higher than expected while the raw power with hit tool risk fell a bit.

Strosnider is a great value in the 2nd. He has a ton of tools, probably fell because he hit under .300. Hopefully he can sign at or near slot. Very nice.

Jones seems a lot like a Ragsdale type player. Solid all around athlete with some potential to add power (6'3" 190).

Garcia in the 4th seems like a perfect Brewers prospect, solid frame 92-97 heater and a 3k rev breaking ball. Sounds alot like Flores from last year to me.

I am not a huge follower of amateur baseball but its hard to hate what they did today. I'm sure Arnold and Johnson are ecstatic. All 3 position players seem like great fits and I read good things about the HS pitcher. Brewers should have saved some money drafting Ebel to take care of the other 3.

Hey!  Off by a round, but close.

I've been doing alright on these lately:

2026 - Julian Garcia
2025 - Jacob Morrison
2023 - Brock Wilken
2022 - Matt Wood

Gotta collect ALL the guys with nasty high-spin curveballs. At least one of them’s gotta turn out to be the next Ben Sheets, right? 😆

How deep is the Brewers system currently?

When Brice Turang was the Brewers first rounder back in 2018 he debuted at #4 on the FanGraphs team rankings behind Keston Hiura, Tristen Lutz, and Corey Ray (three of their top picks from the previous two drafts).

Ethan Small (2019) debuted at #5
Garrett Mitchell (2020) debuted at #3
Sal Frelick (2021) debuted at #3
Eric Brown (2022) debuted at #11 though they had 2nd rounder Misio one spot higher at #10
Wilken (2023) debuted at #9 though again they preferred our second pick Josh Knoth debuting at #5 (not to mention sixth rounder Cooper Pratt debuting at #3)
2024 was again a mixed up year with Meccage (#19), Burke (#24), and Payne (#30) debuting on the FanGraphs team list in the reverse order they were drafted
Fishcer (2025) debuted at #9

Entering the season FanGraphs had Trey's brother Brady ranked #15 in the Brewers system (same as his current rank in the BF Top 20). Have to imagine from reading his profile that Trey will debut somewhere lower than his bro's current ranking.

"The Brewers system runs deep, so deep, so deep put your butt to sleep" - Ice Cube, probably.

Where our picks placed in the BA Top 500:

Trey Ebel: 86

Sawyer Strosnider: 13

Kyle Jones: 72

Julian Garcia: 92

Strosnider is a draft eligible sophomore. I imagine that is going to be a tricky / above slot signing. Teams had to have been thinking he’s going back to school.
