It was a hypothetical example.

But if the Brewers win 2 more they would have a 9 game lead that would really be 10 because they would have the tiebreaker.

LOL. 9.5.

All meant in good fun :)

That looked weird. Cramp? This looks like one of those he maybe plays tonight, and it stiffens up, and he sits for awhile.

If he's playing through it, it's a bone bruise(I... would think) and that's better than a pulled muscle.

One is just pain tolerance and the other is just...patience and healing.

Ortiz still doesn't look right on those jogs up the line.  He's gonna come out at the half inning I bet.

Good call.

Can’t have an injury to a starter. We have no cavalry for shortstop. This could be bad.

No, they’d be fine.

We were assured at the deadline that the Brewers didn’t need to improve their depth in the infield and that Monasterio and Siegler are sufficient.

Don’t think Seigler can play SS.

Bigger issue is that Ortiz is almost certainly going to miss some time now.  His at bats are frustrating but that's a blow defensively.

Yeah, losing him would leave a huge void. Nobody on this team is as good as Joey on D. Not even close.

It's the Cubs day today.  They're getting calls (strike 1), bounces and they're playing well.  That's ok.  It's been the Brewers day for a month.  They can have a day.

It's not over...

But even if they do, I'll roll the dice with Mis vs Rea and Priester vs... a guy we seem to hit well.

There seems to be a "oh no, he it starts," feeling in this game thread. It's 2 games. We're still up 7 IF  we lost and we haven't lost yet.

Not worried. Just a couple good ABs here and put some pressure on them.
