This could be one of the worst losses of the year. Buckle down

Not sure it matters but one one complaint against Murphy is his inability to manage the bullpen & know when to take a pitcher out of the game

This is infuriating … back to back nights … we may not be so lucky tonight

No team should lose a game they lead by six runs

This is no longer enjoyable … especially after a long day at work

Koenig hadn't pitched in a while.

Right, but 34 pitches, especially when he’s been hit hard, is too long to leave him hanging.

This is what happens when you play everyday, constantly.  Myers not being able to get any length from the pen had Murphy trying to squeeze a couple more outs from Koenig than he should have.

This pitching staff is completely gassed right now.

That last one is on Murphy. I know he got the 2 K’s, but just stuck with Koenig way, way too long.

This is why I said McGee call up Made no sense. It's already proven they don't trust him so a short pen is made shorter. Everyone needs to be an option at all times.

Oh, I agree he should have been taken out earlier, I was just saying he hadn't pitched in quite some time, so fatigue shouldn't be an excuse for him.

I wouldn't even say that he was hit hard.  Couldn't have been more than one hit that had an EV>90mph.

He was hit, but soft contact balls that found gaps, grounders that found holes with the exception of McCann's double off the wall.

Who gets to be the hero tonight?

I believe we have four different players who have hit their first ever walk off HR this year

Durbin, Yelich, Monasterio, & Contreras

Is that accurate?

Are there others?

Probably so, but they still need to get through another month. Yikes.

1-2-3 in the bottom of the 8th. I hope we have more to give than that.

Mona wasn't seeing it.  Even Turang just about bailed out of the box on the 1st pitch of his at bat on a curve that nearly caught the zone.  They just weren't picking it up off Saalfrank at all.

Monasterios extra inning HR was not a walk off.

Collins had the walk off against the Mets.
