1 run in the last 18 innings is not going to cut it.

And the 1 run only came because of an error.

The reason Bauers gets his fair share of grief is that most players in this lineup are good players who are going through a rough stretch.

Bauers is not a good player, has never been a good player, and yet continues to receive a large share of playing time. That’s the difference.

Will I be frustrated if Hoskins goes 0 for 4 with 2 K’s in his first game back? Of course, but I’ll at least understand that he has had success in the big leagues and playing him is an understandable thing.

Completely, and it isn't really about Bauers. He is who he is, which is basically a replacement level player (at best). He is 29 and has had like 1700 ABs. When you have an above-average sitting at AAA, why are you waiting on Bauers to suddenly become Freddy Freeman?

I just do not buy, in any way, the idea that it's too much to ask to carry two RH-hitting, exclusively 1B/DHs. Teams carry 3 catchers in September, man. Plus, Bauers is not really playing the OF, either. He is 1B and DH. At the very least, this club needs to do a better of arguing its case (which is impossible, because there is no serious case). Everyone can see it but Murph/the org.

Again, I'm not thinking this is any kind of solution. Like I said, I don't even think it matters that much. But I would love for someone to make the case for Bauers belonging on this roster in a way that makes sense.

Not to be greedy but needed more there with a struggling pitcher.

This game isn’t ending 3-2 and that was a big chance to add on.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Quick inning by Quinn. With the state of our bullpen, I'd let him go another inning.

Make Complete games a thing again....   Just a thought.

Yeah that one RBI single totally flips the argument of his entire career on its head.

Yet you guys worship Vaughn on here who is a career .200 hitter while he had a 4 week hot stretch
