Win tonight and I’m about ready to call the division over.

The Cubs also used Palencia in a non save situation. Hope that comes back to bite them tomorrow.

Suddenly I feel better about Collins & Yelich being out of today’s lineup

Got to bury the cubs though when you can.   We have let them hang around too much

That is a frustrating loss if you are a Cubs fan. Good pitching effort but a punchless offense against a subpar opponent at home.

Hate to see it :)

Nats gave them 7 walks too…..lol

One of those games where ground balls went at guys and got turned into double plays…….not fun to watch for Cubs fans but it’s kind of just the variance of baseball.

And to think we had posters proclaiming the Cubs were going to “blow past” the Brewers because we suck and the Cubs have an easy schedule.

Of course, Bauers & Perkins are playing today

My prediction the other day of the Brewers playing shorthanded for 4-5 days then putting Yelich on the IL is halfway home.

Is there something wrong with Collins too or is this a case of rotating days off for OF?

I think there was one.

I also think there are many posters who seem to interpret “the race isn’t over yet” as “”The Brewers suck and are going to blow it”.

We’ve somehow “ sucked “ our way to the best record in baseball through 142 games.

Now that is taking “ Their just lucky “ to a whole new level!

Off Topic …

Wisconsin football is going nowhere this year

They will be lucky to win 4 games

Not sure Fickell survives the season

That’s good for people on the board who are not Badger fans and I’m sure there are many..

I mean, they pretty much did that July -August...

If hanging around is trailing by between 5 and 7 games in the standings for several weeks, Im all for it.  It will be more than satisfying to handle the Cubs a wildcard berth despite them likely winding up neither thr NL's second best record - and never really sniffing a division title chance since the calendar turned to august

There may have been one. Maybe saying the division isn't wrapped up yet translates to "The Cubs will blow past us" to some.

When I put up quotes, that is the exact quote. It was said.

And when you used the word “posters” you were saying there was more than one.

Yes, posters have said one or the other. Correct.

True. There seems to be no happy medium. Having some concerns doesn't translate to we are toast. Cubs definitely have schedule advantage but who knows.

“ Had a schedule advantage “ ……it’s gone now moving forward.

IMO if the brewers get up 6.5 at any point the rest of the year I feel good about getting the bye then.   That could happen tonight.   I would feel better if the brewers start playing better though.

So, what you meant to say is that there is a poster who said the Cubs are going to “blow right by” the Brewers and there is at least one different poster who said the Brewers suck.

I really can’t remember anyone flatly saying for quite some time that  the Brewers suck.
