What is the plan for the MIZ today?

4 innings, hope he gets to 5?

With the high pitch count his last start, I can't imagine they will let him get past 75-80 pitches today...

This is always the strangest time to be a fan of a good team. The Brewers are very, very good. They absolutely should win the division and earn a bye.

It's still a ways until they actually clinch those things, though, so it feels like it's all downside risk.

The Phils are smoking hot. They might catch us. I care not at all about that. We've gone up 7.5 on the Dodgers (really 8 with the tiebreaker). The Cubs have won 3 in a row at a time when the Brewers lost 3 of 4. Still, they're like 4-3 in their last 7, so not lighting the world on fire. I'm hoping the Rays and Pirates can each grab at least one from them in the next 5. Good day to start today with Rasmussen on the Hill for Tampa. After the Pirates series, the Cubs have to play 7 against the Mets and Reds, both of whom will be desperate. And Chicago has no off days in that stretch. If they cut this division lead in half, they'll have earned it.

Anything past 4 is would be an unexpected bonus. It should mean he is being efficient.

I fear Misiorowski will throw 80 pitches in four innings & hand the ball over to Fedde … & who knows what he will do

Is Trevor Megill Tentatively still Sept. 16th?

Sounded like he had a set back and is currently not throwing.  If he comes back, great.  Not counting on it though.

That said, if we clinch the division with say, 5 games left, but are tied with the Phillies at that time, is it possible we could refrain from the annual huge bender that day where everyone is too hungover to play the next day until AFTER the season when we have like a week break?

We rested that dude more than. Any of the relievers and now he’s gone.     Does that really work

Must not have been sunny enough, they are currently playing.

Megill had a flexor tendon strain, that actually can end a career if it pops.  Does Damian Lillard and Aaron Rodgers ring a bell?  Even though theirs were a different tendon in the leg but if your a pitcher and it pops his career is over but minor strains/tears might heal in several weeks to a month. Brewers only goal is to get him healed and ready for the playoffs. Unless if it is worse than what management is telling us.

Rays have left some runs on the table.

Failed with man on second with none out, then in the next inning with first and third with one out.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Based on that... I think I'd be pulling pretty hard for the Mets, good with the Cubs.

The playoffs are weird though. I'll just pull for the Brewers to hit the ball hard and be healthy and... I think they can beat every team. I'm even seeing Logan Henderson is throwing some BP? Man he'd look nice in that Grant Anderson role... which Grant Anderson has been very good in, but more depth is better

Well, 2 on, 0 out, up 5-4 in the 9th, les see them add a couple more and put the Cubs away...
