So we have two lefties in our top 4 against Pomeranz, including Turang batting #2… (sigh)… guess we can forget about jumping out to a great start tonight. Ortiz at SS, so still have the black hole of Perkins/Ortiz at 8/9.

At least Chourio is leading off.

J Chourio (R) LF

B Turang (L) 2B

W Contreras (R) C

C Yelich (L) DH

A Vaughn (R) 1B

S Frelick (L) RF

C Durbin (R) 3B

B Perkins (S) CF

J Ortiz (R) SS

THIS!!!!  Why did Murphy move away from this for the games in Chicago??????!!!!!  WHY????!!!!!!   Come on Brewers get this done tonight.

If Chourio doubles to lead off you are pretty much hoping Turang can burn an out and bunt him to third. To me that makes this lineup a non starter. That said Murphy is not an analytical guy. He's a i just love this guy's heart guy. He's just not interested in facts. Turang Perkins and Ortiz are his guys. They are playing no matter what. Hoping it works.

At least Yelich isn't leading off so we have a chance tonight.

I wonder how long it takes in the Dodger series for Murphy to put Yelich back at lead-off?

1st game?  2nd game?  Does he start tonight's line-up, have us go up 2-0, then tinker with the line-up again in game 3 and have Yelich leading off?  Think he has learned his lesson?

I don't, I think we'll see Yelich leading off again in the near future.

2 hours from game time and I’m pacing the house like an animal. I hate having a team in the playoffs. I mean don’t get me wrong, it beats the alternative. Or does it? 🤣

I like having Megill start, I would maybe have gone Uribe since he could maybe throw 2 innings. Megill has been good the 2 games he has pitched and being the closer is probably most used to the big moment at the beginning of the game.

I don't have any real issues with the lineup. If Murph thinks Ortiz and Perk with the extra defense are worth the start, I am fully on board.

As long as Megill doesn't walk anyone, I'm fine with this as well.

Not a chance in hell the Cubs will hit another homer in the 1st, right?

i can’t imagine how painful it would be to see Chicago & Coun$ell beat the Brewers in Milwaukee tonight … I may not sleep a wink if that happens … the offseason would be brutal

If that were to happen I probably wouldn't come back here until 2026.  But that's not happening so I'll be back

Yes you can.  Put Yelich in LF and DH Bauers, move Chourio in CF.

We're not playing a gimpy Chourio in CF.

That's like... Kotsay out there.

When did we get this soft?

Turang has been bad 3 games... coming off a 5.5 WAR season and it's 'there goes any shot of a good first inning!'

LOL... c'mon.

Has nothing to do with Turang’s postseason performance or being “soft”. Pomeranz is a lefty killer. I was hoping we’d stack some RHB against him in the 1st.

I fully expect a win tomorrow.

Home field matters and Iminaga stinks.

Imanaga is not starting, Pomweranz is

I trust there is merit to not messing with the batting order with the first inning in mind. At the same time, I recognize the importance of the first inning.

All or nothing today.

I like the Megill move.

Its up to those 26 guys now. No matter how Murphy manages it, every single one of them has to perform.

Get those sorry ass cubbies eliminated

I don't know, but it looks like Counsell did us a favor starting a lefty.

Normally I’d be nervous as hell for a game like tonight’s but I’m just not.   This series was pretty much over after Lockridge bunted in game 3 we’re now just waiting now for the inevitable.   Going to avoid watching tonight because it’s going to be too painful.   I want to be wrong in the worst way but Brewers baseball has conditioned me to fear and expect the worst.

It was still a great season.

Unreal 80gm stretch.

Set the all-time season record for wins.

A lot of positives can be taken from this season for sure.

Absolutely beats the alternative. Who wants to be 20 games out of it and watching other teams play. We have one game to get to the pennant series. LET'S GO!!!!

Boots on the ground here.

Let’s just say that a lot of our fans sold their tickets

I wish they hadn't, but you know it's hard turning down that kind of money these days.

Doesn’t help winning this series tonight doesn’t feel like a massive accomplishment now. More, *deep exhale* that was embarrassing, let’s forget about this before Monday type deal.

You get someone warm the same time as Megill, right? Right?? Ie comes and walks 2 guys gotta get someone else. Who’s ready in the first?

I certainly hope so.

I'm going to feel a lot better once we get past Busch in the 1st, hopefully, Megill strikes this clown out!

Does feel like more Cubs fans than game 1 or 2.
