Is Ortiz tradeable?

Plays good D

Has forgotten how to hit

Since Joey hit .230 this year putting him at .233 for his career, I'd say he didn't forget how to hit he just never could.

Don’t agree….he tried several different things in postseason (different lineups, openers, Frelick in CF, Bauers in LF, Uribe early).I don’t agree with everything, but he wasn’t stuck with whatever he did in regular season.  Of course not.

But, he cannot see Yelich is inept?  He cannot adjust for that?

Same with Joey Ortiz!

Same with Turang!

Those 3 guys were guaranteed outs almost all of the playoffs!

Turang and Ortiz were not hitting in the end of the regular season, either.

We need some production from the 6. We can do this again with Ortiz, if he doesn't improve his hitting in the offseason.

Disagree. The players union will never go for a salary cap. It's a deal breaker.

It's not about the love of the game or the experience of the fans for either side. It's about coming up with an equation that has both sides feeling like they have maximized profits. If they can get there, we'll have a season next year.

Isn't the lockout/pending multi year strike starting after the end of next season?

Because I expect to miss at least 1 year of baseball - and honestly there should be enough owners to be fine missing multiple years if a salary cap is a nonstarter to the MLBPA.

IIRC, Yelich had a pretty quiet 2018 postseason the year he went supernova and won league MVP, too.

He had a lot of walks and a few big hits, but yeah...certainly not what he was doing before.  2018 was his best post season.

Willy Adames hit .225 this year.

Hard to say. Every club has a different financial situation. But yes, we'll have to see.

He hit a solo shot in the first inning of Game 7 of the NLCS that blew the damn roof off that stadium. I was near Amy and so positive we were going to the World Series.

And then, nothing.

The Dodgers treated the regular season like it didn't matter because they can steamroll everyone in the NL. This is stupid.

@edfunderburk, Ok, now I know we will lose the series.

It's not how we wanted to see it end. But there are 26 other baseball teams who didn't make it as far as we did. It's been a great season for a lot of reasons. For one thing, we crushed the cubs.

I appreciate hanging out with you guys. It made the season much more interesting and enjoyable. Best to you all. Can't wait for spring baseball!
