Murphy really went out of his way to tell us that this series wasn’t over after Milwaukee and it really kind of shot his credibility.

While this isn’t the outcome we wanted, there is a lot of reason for hope and optimism. There’s a lot of talent in the pipeline. A few moves here and there to shore up spots will definitely help and the experience and mostly importantly, the feelings in this series of just being manhandled will sit with these guys. And hopefully that’s the indelible memory that sticks with them through their offseason workouts, helping them grind and improve. This is not the teams like I watched in middle and high school where there was Yount at the end of his career an a bunch of other guys. This team has a chance to do something special for multiple years, depending on development, financial decisions and health. It’s a good time to be a Brewer fan!

6-4 vs Dodgers this year…

I’m sure that’ll really eat at them as they wipe the champagne drops from their face.

What was he supposed to do? Say it was over? This is a bit of a reach.

Well that NLCS pretty much was a disappointment. Watching the offense sink like it hit an iceberg.

Hope to see a pennant winner one of these years. Hard to remember memories from 1982 as a kindergartener. Maybe the Brewers baseball addiction will actually pay off some day.

Isn't the lockout/pending multi year strike starting after the end of next season?

Because I expect to miss at least 1 year of baseball - and honestly there should be enough owners to be fine missing multiple years if a salary cap is a nonstarter to the MLBPA.

I guess we'll see but there is no historical evidence that the owners have the will to miss a full year of baseball.  The 1994 strike cost MLB the entire 1994 postseason and the world series that year and lasted throughout the offseason, but in the end the owners caved and settled without the cap they had demanded.  They lost about 33% of the 94 regular season and playoff revenues, and that was enough to force them to capitulate when the players made it clear they were willing to sit out the 1995 season.  I personally don't think the owners are any better situated now than they were then.  The primary difference is the value of their franchises relative to the expenses they'll incur regardless of whether they're paying players.  They could tap those resources if they have to, but I don't think they will.

It's going to be ugly when it comes, but I don't think there's any chance a plurality of owners will be up for a year of lost revenue, let alone the damage that may do to the value of their franchises.

No, of course, but he really went out of his way to say this was going to become a series again. “See you tomorrow” in the pregame today, for example.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I’m glad we won the NLDS .

I hope we can do better with the same opportunity next year, That was really bad. There’s just no way to sugarcoat it.

Well, that was pretty humiliating.

Best team in baseball ............... swept.

Couldn't put up more that 1 run per game.

Forget about, payroll, payroll, payroll.

Pirates would have kicked our asses.

Same ol story, different year.

Edgy prediction: The Brewers won't score a single run tonight.

Maybe more, maybe less. Not one exactly.

CC said the same thing with his "We're going to Los Angeles" remark. A verbal shot of confidence is far from a guarantee of success, but I don't blame him for trying.

Fun season, everyone. A lot of great, great moments. Certainly the most giddy 50-game stretch of my lifetime. This isn't a group we'll forget anytime soon. Not quite 2011 level for me, probably just a touch behind 2018 too. Still. When it comes to wringing every possible win out of a roster, this group tops the list.

One of these years, we'll top everyone's. Or we won't, and that's okay too. Baseball's about the stories. This team has given us a lot of them, and I know the franchise has more to say.

Time for the annual cycle of trading good players, getting undervalued, and proving the projections wrong. But, first, hockey and basketball seasons.

Go Brewers. Undisputed kings of the NL Central.

It’s… pretty easy to not say either.

Being completely non-competitive in the NLCS was not fun.

Payroll blah blah blah. Your 3 highest paid players are Yelich Hoskins and Woodruff. They contributed zero this series. Somethings got to change when you are a small market and spending money on guys who can't play. Dodgers are spending big money but on guys who produce. That's part of the gap we saw. Arnold has to address.

2018 at least flirted with a World Series appearance.

Book ended the season with four game losing streaks.

One we couldn't pitch and the other we couldn't hit.

Final 68 innings without a multi-run at bat
