Game 14: Packers @ Broncos - Sunday, Dec. 14th @ 3:25 PM

Is today as bad as the Seattle loss?

With how mediocre the NFL is this year...and how the Packers were playing with Watson... anyone else feel like this is on level with those losses?

No.... I don't think I'll ever see a packer loss as bad as that one.

Yes, it probably will feel that bad in retrospect. Because this isn’t the playoffs, it doesn’t quite have that finality to it. But it probably will when the full gravity of it sinks in and we get the definitive diagnoses on these injuries. For it to all happen in such a short amount of time, and to lose like this to smug Sean Payton? Ugh.

Yeah no. It's never the same as a playoff loss. But this is arguably the worst day of regular season Packers football of my life.

No argument on that.

Just wait til the camera pans to the stupid look on his face with 1:04 left when he needs to stop the clock but is out of timeouts.

1:07! Man I was close.

Yeah, I guess. But this is as bad as a regular season loss could be.

The flop this team was heading for a month ago looked like it might at least get him canned. The second-worst part about today is that it buys him at least another year.

Just glanced at Reddit to see people saying we should lose the last 4 to get a better draft pick. They must not realize how we got Micah...

We are toast. Next year is a sitting duck season. Matt will get fired and we get to watch Micah do a Yelich impression for a bit. What a mess. I was literally thinking that we were a contender as Love was dropping back for that throw that ended Watson's season. I won't blame them, they took the chance everyone's been clamoring for, but of course since we're Wisconsin and not Boston this is the result. Whatever.

Yeah, it's just that feeling where you KNOW what's coming, but... there's still that irrational hope.

Watson MIGHT not have broken the collarbone.

Parsons MIGHT have an MCL(which makes no sense).

Tom...well, he could also be fine OR he could have a torn ACL. Who knows.

This is pretty much the end of the season though.

Welp... on to the draft?

And of course the cherry on the officiating top, I'm 99% sure the RDE had jumped into the neutral zone before belton moved.

Remember what Yoda said:

No, no even close.

The offense was still incredibly suspect and arguably…not that great.

And also…I think the NFL is pretty mediocre going forward, so hard to be that upset. Today’s QB are trash.

Now that’s an actual defense.

Certainly did its job in the second half. Against an offense that lost one of the best wideouts and tackles in the game today, but results were clear.

Not gonna lie, this was looking every bit the statement game you were looking for until everything went classic Wisconsin sports. Road, hostile, substantial lead. Those taking the copium will point out the flaws of the team, but this was as good of a chance as we've had at the Super Bowl since winning it. Just an absolutely soul crushing afternoon. Guess I'll go to Avatar 3 next Saturday or something. This absolutely sucks.

I saw that too.

Watching a season potentially sink in a matter of a couple quarters of a non-elimination game.

It was more like 5 minutes. I've never seen anything like that before outside of Rodgers getting hurt which happened much earlier in the season before you started to believe.

It’s unbelievable how often Wisconsin sports can make you think, “no, actually, against all experience and sense, I can maybe actually buy into this team,” and then twist the knife.

Am I ever going to be able to quit this ride?

The Bucks, Packers and Badgers are done for at least 3 years. With the Brewers you can either give up because the league is broken, or appreciate that they win games ridiculously consistently in a league where they should be going 40-122, and just have a fun summer.

All the same. Playoffs are absolutely pointless. I'd rather lose out and miss them, focus on skiing.

This is up there with one of the worst days of my life as a Packers fan. Super Bowl XXXII, Seattle NFCG, 4th and 26, and this. Getting too old to be this invested. Can't stomach things going up in smoke in December with a non contact injury to a guy we mortgaged the future on.

The future was not mortgaged, not with our history of first round draft picks. The Rams allegedly mortgaged the future when they traded for Stafford. Three years and one championship later, they are the odds-on favorite to win it again.

That's a great point lol.  Guess we lost out on a backup LT that would get piledrived for 3 years.

He’ll get a pass for next year because of injuries, but if the Packers are one and done in January again which they probably will be, I don’t know how you can extend him.

He’ll continue his legacy of getting out-coached by smarter men around the league in the biggest moments, making emotional decisions in the heat of the moment (like the Q4 challenge tonight), and continue his legacy of nothing but a long storied history of regular season success.
