I remember when I first started being older than some professional athletes. Now that I'm older by multiple decades, well, I take that personally.

I'm getting there being 56 with aches and pains. Satchel Paige played until he was 59 is what they say.

A lifetime of watching sports:

10: Maybe one day I'll be able to do that

20: I betcha I could do that

30: Sure not the crazy stuff, but I could totally do the basics

40: I sure can't do that anymore

50: Who am I kidding, I could never have done that

60: Sure they're good, but not compared to the ones in my day

70: They're superhuman these days, we were never doing stuff like that

I got a pretty good clue when I threw my back out golfing at age 14 that a life as a professional athlete just might not be in the cards for me 😄

The Hormuz Hornet: Boat Specifications & Features Build: Modified 22-foot party pontoon boat. Power: Six illegally welded Yamaha racing motors.

Defense system: A wild top-speed zigzag driving pattern and a paintball gun used to blind reconnaissance drones. Operational Rules: Cargo policy: Ships anything anywhere without asking questions. No animals: Animals are strictly not allowed because they cannot handle the extreme speed and will defecate on my boat.

The Captain: Operated by "Hormuz Jeff," who fears nothing because he has no family, no friends, and a brain injury that erased his fear of death.

Booking: Requires downloading sketchy phantom browser called "The Peelr" to access a secure messaging app named "Text-o" through Peelr.

The arena club commercial whenever the guy says Jeter all I hear is Cheater.  But then again I would annoy my friend who is a Yankees fan when I would call him Derek Cheater.

There's a contractor commercial that drives me nuts. It is a woman owned business and she is the name and face of it (fine obviously) but she makes it seem like women will be doing the work by how they market it.

Then every single person they have ever showed doing any work is male.

The AI slop lawyer commercials please make it stop.  I’ll take a one call that’s all commercial over this AI slop.

I hate British spelling of words.

It drives me nuts that there is a writer for Brew Hoop that is British...writing for a US audience.

The word is "defense" and not "defence"!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I'm up too early today.

I have to take the wife to school early this morning.  Pre-school year activities for her.

Immediately after I have to get her car to the body shop.  A few weeks ago, when that tornado ripped through Menasha, A branch got torn from our tree and landed on her Ascent.  It wasn't a particularly huge branch, but it must have been near the tippy-top of the tree, 'cause it smashed her sunroof and windshield, plus other things.  About $7,400 in damage.  Fortunately, insurance is being good about it.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.
