Per Curt Hogg on Bluesky: "A positive update on Luis Peña: He was cleared to resume baseball activities. He tentatively will be able to begin playing games in Arizona next week."

From Friday's Link Report:

"At this time, we don't know anything specific about Bryce Meccage's injury status. The 2024 2nd round pick out of a New Jersey high school had made his first four starts through April 24th and had been faring well enough, with progression to a five-inning, two-run outing with just two walks on that night. However, Meccage was not effective at all in a home start on April 30th, which was the last time we saw him on a mound - 1.1 IP, 3 H (1 HR), 7 R, 5 BB. He threw 52 pitches (only 23 strikes), and at the time, there was no reason to think his early exit was injury related. Here we are two weeks later with an IL stint."

ARob?

Elbow inflammation for Meccage.  It seems as though he avoided anything too serious, but he’s looking at a return to the mound in a month or two.

As was mentioned a few posts back, are you able to update us on Luke Adams’ status? Thanks.

Unfortunately, there’s still no timetable for Adams’ return.  The thought was that it would just be a couple of weeks, but it has not progressed as well as originally hoped.  He’s still in a wrist brace at this point.

2025 17th round pick RHP Luke Roupe is nearing a return, however, and closing in on his pro debut as he threw live to hitters for the first time yesterday.  He should be ready to be activated in the next week or two for the ACL squad.

Does anybody know anything about Luis Peña and his current condition?

Haven't seen anything new since the update from Hogg at the top of the page.

Believe the ACL is off on Wednesdays so maybe he will get into today's game?

Tobias was dealing with a flexor strain and ulnar nerve inflammation.  He was expecting to be cleared in April, but had a small flare up and is now hoping for sometime in May.

Tobias’ timeline remained true from my mid-March update.  Should be back at Single-A in a couple of weeks.

At this point, I would say we know as much as we ever will or should about Luis Peña barring any setback. @ARobsBrewCrewis providing a fantastic service but we also need to be careful not to cross any lines, and he's done a great job so far of keeping the fan base informed and the players medical situation private.

If we could leave the Peña questions for a while as the situation is clearly sensitive and the Brewers are being justifiably cautious, I think that would be best for all involved.

Can't say I speak for everyone, but let's just be careful not to abuse the privilege we have here

It's likely too early for ARobs to join in here, although LHP Tate Kuehner's 7-day IL stint did become official.

Wednesday's Nashville game archive for those with subscription rights

Regarding Kuehner's 3rd inning exit, go to the 01:56:00 hour/minute mark.

Kuehner walks a man, time for a catcher visit, but he's trying to get comfortable, kind of shimmying his shoulder, making some telling facial reactions. Then allows a lined RBI base-hit on a 1-0 count. Makes three more pitches to old friend Raynel Delgado, then calls the training staff to the mound. They quickly call it a night.

Difficult to discern to be honest, it's an upper body issue, and seemingly left side of the southpaw's torso. Could be anything from shoulder to side.

Marco Dinges hasn’t played catcher since exiting the May 5th contest early (9th straight as DH).

Friday marked game #10 as DH-only. Any insights into what the organization is monitoring?

I'm going to piggy back off Jim's lovely report this morning:

OF Alexander Frias was pulled mid game back on Tuesday after a double in his right field direction in, I believe (?) the 4th inning. No reasons are given in the Game Log. He was not present in Friday Night's line up. Given the nature of who he is becoming as a prospect, I feel implored to nag ☺️:

Do we know anything about his current absence?

You are such a godsend to our Fanatic community @ARobsBrewCrew. I do not take your generous sharing - that goes way beyond what one could expect in this day and age - for granted whatsoever. Thank you for all you provide to our Minor League community.

I appreciate the kind words!  Frías exited Tuesday’s game after rolling his ankle (I believe).  I know it was mostly precautionary and they have held him out to let some lingering soreness subside.  As of tonight, he expects to be back on the field on Tuesday.
