He plays because the FO is being stubborn & keeping him on the roster. Cut your losses … $2m remaining on his contract. Say be goodbye. Let him play in Vegas & call up a young, decent fielder who can grow into hitting over the remainder of the season. Pratt or a Williams … anyone other than Rentifo.
