I defended the Patrick usage in his last outing because I thought they were trying to keep him stretched out but he’s clearly still not rested enough to pitch again. It’s looking like a bizarre decision from Murphy to not use Rom in a blowout win just to option him the next day.

It's time for Yelich to start sitting against most lefties.  Get Vaughn into more games, and probably a couple more Ws along the way.

But, but, his winning record, and stats, and...

I actually think CC was a better game day coach but much worse in the club house.

I'm still glad he's gone...

Why in the world were they pitching to De la Cruz with 1B open and a RHH on deck?

Because Pat Murphy runs a great clubhouse but makes very questionable in-game decisions.

So we basically have Yoho, Anderson and Kuhnel for 7, 8, and 9.  Let's hope the offense can score a few more runs.

I acknowledge that I am logical to a fault. Most things are black & white to me - very little gray.

There is zero explanation that will ever make sense to me - nothing Murphy could say that would convince me that it was a good idea to pitch Patrick for three innings on Sunday afternoon with a 9-2 lead.

That was one of Murphy’s all-time head scratchers & he’s had plenty of those.

You're thinking of Pittsburgh.

There have been plenty in Cincinnati too

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Probably the weirdest part was knowing you were going to option a guy for Woodruff after the game and still not using him in a blowout.
