Fri. 6/26: Wisconsin Hopes to Wave Magic Wand(e) to Sixth Straight Second Half Win

Fredericksburg starter tonight is 25 and has a 2.78 ERA with over a 3:1 K:BB ratio. Another guy who would have been bumped to A+ weeks ago if he was in the Brewers system.

Looking at Josh Adamczewski's season numbers for the season---a really fun exercise---I noticed that along with the eye-popping offensive numbers he's picked up 6 OF assists in just under 50 games in high-A. That's not something you see every day from a LF, not to mention one who came up as a 2B.

People talk about Fischer possibly being in Nashville this year. Adamczewski might have as good a chance if not better.

Totally agree.

Selfishly I miss seeing him in Appleton, but he deserved the promotion, and wish him the best of luck moving forward!

The annual Fredericksburg and Nats slow promotional roll out that inevitably leads to a shutdown of the (now) Wilson bats. A tradition unlike any other. Surprised they didn't bring Sykora off the 60-Day early for a 'Rehab assignment' just for shirts and goggles.

Jett sitting again……2 games in a row I think?

He's on the temporary inactive list so probably not with the team

Nutty raw power from Blake Burke. It's not easy to hit at 40 LA at 113mph. For reference there are only 7 players in the statcast era who have hit the ball 113+mph at 40+ LA. Here's the list

Ohtani (4x)

Judge (2x)

Harper (2x)

Wallner (2x)

Alonso (1x)

Greene (1x)

Alvarez (1x)

They’re halfway through the first game of AA Biloxi’s doubleheader at Montgomery, but here’s the starting lineup nonetheless. RHP Jaron DeBerry aims to lead the squad to a 3-0 series lead. OF Jacob Hurtubise is 6-for-9 with 5 RBIs in his last 2 games.

6’6” LHP Andrew Healy (5.14 ERA, 1.71 WHIP, 9.3 K/9 in 35 IP) makes his 7th start (14th appearance) as the Low-A Warbirds need a win at Fredericksburg to even this week’s series 2-2. CF Handelfry Encarnacion is 7-for-16 with 8 walks over his last 5 games.

24-year old RHP Tyson Hardin has been terrific in 7 AAA starts (2.25 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 in 40 IP) and looks to lead Nashville to a 3-1 home series lead over Gwinnett. RF Greg Jones is back in the lineup after exiting Tuesday’s game early. SS Freddy Zamora sees his first action in 6 days.

Payne with #14, Adams with #13 (10 in AAA). Definitely some power bats in the system. We have a ton of guys who will likely hit 25 dongs.

Legitimately in awe. You know I love me some Blake Burke but he is having such a tremendous season!

First “rough” start for Hardin in AAA.

And yikes Wagner with 2 ER in the earlier game for Biloxi.

however.,..  T-Rats on fire right now. Ragsdale, Pena, Bitonti and Payne are having a nice stretch. And wande Torres with a very solid start.

ACL Crew the only ones still playing. Antunez with 2 hits. Payano with a hit - his first stateside hit?? But still trailing ACL Royals

After dropping the first leg of today’s doubleheader in Montgomery, the AA Shuckers could still grab a win in the nightcap behind RHP Manuel Rodriguez (just 2 IP in last 12 days). C Matt Wood and RF Mark Coley II enter as line-up changes for Game 2.

Fenelon and Antunez with bombs and multi-hit games in rookie ball. Both are coming on well or at least showing the skills that could make them breakup guys down the road. If they could ever cut down on strikeouts both have big potential.

We are days away from Ragsdale passing up Payne in OPS and that is not saying anything bad against Payne.

Ragsdale has a 1.200 OPS in June. Lol

Is Ragsdale the next hitter to move up?

I expect some movement soon, and I'm also wondering how long Knoth stays in Appleton...

Seems both could be on the move soon.

Given his age it makes sense. Yet another guy who seemed like just a ‘save money” pick who is looking better than I expected
