Usually I’m on board with what Murphy does, but as the head coach he has categorically botched the challenging mechanism with his team. The vast majority of his team, even leaders such as Yelich, Turang, and Chourio virtually operate as if the challenge is not an option, no matter the time or situation. Meanwhile his two catchers continue to be as frivolous and cavalier with their challenges as anyone in the league.

The job Murphy and his staff have done with this new tool is appalling. Especially for an innovative organization.

I think the stats say different - but it feels like the Brewers have really stunk with ABS challenges the last couple of weeks - both on offense and defense

I’m curious if there will be any talk of expanding the ABS system or at least granting more challenges per game in future years.  Some guys are gun shy early in games with only 2.
