The tweet was referencing Zimmerman.  It says he was DFA'd.

For some goofy reason, when Markedman posts tweets they often don’t come through for me on this site. They often come through later, so I see that now.

No reason Gasser can’t go 8 innings tonight. His pitch count remains low. That would be such a boost to the bullpen.

Let's see if their hitters mail it in and Gasser gets a couple of 6-pitch innings.

I'm not sure having him go out for the 8th is the best idea...

For him or for us? I think an 8 run lead is pretty good territory to send him back out. If he walks the first two guys, by all means warm someone up.

Great news.  I hadn't heard that.  I still hope he doesn't pitch again this week

I wonder how much the season Ortiz has had is psychological. He seemed to come into the season ready but then word spread about an extension to Pratt and he soon fell apart.

Could be coincidence in timing but he’s fighting for his career and payday. Murph recounted the talk with Ortiz where he may have been shaken up about it.

Now it’s like a fresh start at third and maybe figuring it out.

I got to say our fans have traveled exceptionally well this year.

And they seem to be loud and proud on the road

I wonder if Gasser will be back as soon as he’s eligible to possibly be used in relief over the weekend.

Levering made a comment that Gasser already had a quality start. I was hoping he hadn’t jinxed it because he could have lost it by giving up 2 more runs.

I wonder if anyone in baseball history has made all 3 of their teams’ outs in a single inning in 3 separate ABs.

To my knowledge, no. I checked it out a few years ago because my dad did it in a home talent league game many years ago. Made the first out, team batted around, dad made the second out, they batted around, and he made the third out.

I hadn’t heard that but apparently they made that announcement today. Skenes and Meyer of the Marlins are also out as they are scheduled to pitch Sunday.

I went to the Miami series in April, and I couldn't believe how many Brewers fans were there.  It seemed like at least a third of the stadium were Brewers fans...
