The problem with professional athletes in this day and age is that they are either coming off an injury, right in the middle of an injury or just about to  be injured, so they are constantly in a state of being pampered and coddled

But if you are injured and can only give 85% I would sit them also or IL them.  Has nothing at all to do with coddling them. Its performance based.

YELICH = MVP!

He's hot, time to get him back in that lead-off spot tomorrow!

I hate this decision to pull Henderson here. It is unnecessary to coddle & pamper grown men. I abhor Murphy’s in-game decision making.

I agree, let's have everyone throw 130 pitch complete games and then not be available in October.

He could have finished the sixth inning without throwing 130 pitches

Yelich is a slightly below average hitter.

Unfortunately he's a DH that is making $28MM/year.

You almost have to play him I'd think.

Edit:  I heart Lara.

I don’t agree, but if he “must” play he should bat much lower in the lineup

Lara .297/.859 - Pratt .288/.773

Not bad for 2 glove first players :)

I love our youngsters.

Made and Pena will be 21 in 2028.

Next wave.

Where is the guy Brewcrew82 who tried to explain why Lara really shouldn't be playing 🤔

I never said Lara shouldn't be playing. I pointed out reasons why he would be on the bench yesterday, and why it was understandable under the circumstances.

Of freaking course, Lara shouldn't be on the bench the entire week and should be playing most days.

Pratt's throws are true and on a line every time.

Kind of like JJ (reliability-wise), but a stronger arm.

Hopefully he matures into a 25 HR guy like JJ did.

He's already a better SS than JJ ever was.
