The Pirates have given us fits lately. Let’s sweep these guys.

The Brewers have struggled in Pittsburg lately, but they tend to get owned when they come here.  What was that one stretch where they never won here?

Hopefully "Good Sproat" shows up tonight.  I'll just sit back and enjoy this one.

I think that year we got cc and made the playoffs for the first time in god knows when, didn’t we go like 17-0 or something like that against them

Something like that.  It felt like we'd never lose again.

The Pirates did win 2 of 3 here in April.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Btw.   Small complaint here but the brewers need to stop making excuses about it being too hot, the mound sucks, waiting in the plane, etc.   that was all in one week

maybe just hit the ball

At Oracle this past Monday, I was seated next to a Mets season ticket holder and he was telling me how high he was on Sproat, watching him in spring training.  I informed him Sproat was the starter that night.  He was also high on Jett Williams.  He also wanted to know what was up with Yelich.

Not sure about how hot it was, but Miz does have a point.  Nobody gets the extension like he does.  The groundcrews should be a little more professional.

See Darin Ruf...

Murph: “You couldn’t do anything with Yelich out of the lineup so now you get him back in the 3 hole. And I’m benching both Pratt and Lara for good measure.”

I’m convinced you don’t like anything that the Brewers have to offer you as a fan.

I heard nothing re complaints about it being hot, if there were then yes, just shut up. The other two are legit. Misiorowski is 6'7" AND gets unusual extension besides. I can certainly understand him having issues with a part of the mound that maybe no other pitchers ever need packed/groomed.

I'm sure all of us have dealt with a time change. Combining that with sitting in an airport for five hours yeah, I can see how that might affect you.

My God, I thought you were just kidding.

Murphy just has to start Hamilton.  Pratt should be playing daily, and Joey needs to be the full time 3B.  Hamilton should only be used for an occasional day off for Joey, and pinch running late in the game.

Hamilton and Yelich could be the downfall of this team in what's left of the regular season, hopefully Murph takes some time off from pocket pancake eating and realizes what our best line-up is come playoff time.

  1. Brice Turang (L) 2B
  2. Jackson Chourio (R) LF
  3. Christian Yelich (L) DH
  4. William Contreras (R) C
  5. Jake Bauers (L) RF
  6. Andrew Vaughn (R) 1B
  7. Garrett Mitchell (L) CF
  8. David Hamilton (L) 3B
  9. Joey Ortiz (R) SS

If the Dodgers leap frog us in the standings, then the Cubs play the Dodgers in the NLDS.

Unlike last year I actually couldn’t care less about the top seed.  I just don’t think it matters much and if the Dodgers and Cubs play in the NLDS in the other series I can’t see myself with the result no matter what.

That said, still need to hold off the Braves, a drop below 2 would be a disaster.

2 through 4 are in a bad place right now.

Feels weird saying we need the bottom half to carry us.

I get what everyone is saying. The Brewers are a really good balanced baseball team. The only team more balanced is the Dodgers, that has not changed since the deadline passed. Cubs pitching is still inferior, Phillies defense is still awful. 2026 is probably the Dodgers year again and I hated the trade with the Cardinals. That being said I actually think the Crew signs May to a three year deal. His stuff is really good. The Brewers “timeline “ is 2027-2031. We just don’t have the pitching depth in the minors and May fits a sign able guy who has upside.

Murph said the players felt itchy from being hot yesterday( which I do t even know what that means) In one week they complained about a lot of things except playing.    It doesn’t endear you to many people even if some people think it’s legit or not

But it’s minor

If they drop below 2 then it doesn’t really matter if the cubs catch us that much anyways

I don't think its that minor.  Excuse hunting is not a good sign.

We do have 3 pretty good starters in the high minors in Letson, Hardin and Knoth.  Knoth is at A+, but only because of injury, dude has been soooooo good this year!  The cuppbard is not completely bare.

Those 3 guys definitely fit in your so-called timeline.

I'd be shocked if we signed May to any kind of an extension/contract/whatever.  It's just not what we do.
