I knew that Taylor was included in the Holmes deal.

Jake Burger and his 718 OPS is the big bat you wanted.  Vaughn has more than 100 OPS on him this year.  That would be a downgrade to our offense.

Murphy is not someone I trust to manage the juggling that may have come with adding a bat. If you're not willing to bench Yelich I don’t see how that bat plays.

This. Contreras, Chourio. You need to get something out of Yelich, whatever is left there. In the last 50 games & post-season, Mitchell needs to be something closer to what he was during his recent hot streak. And as he gets further from the hamate issue, Vaughn has to be something closer to what he was in '25. 'Adding a bat' wouldn't have made any difference if the above doesn't occur.

The deal here for Sanzatela is much more in line with what I expected to give up for an expiring player. Very good deal.

Senzetela has a $14M team option next year FWIW. Seems unlikely the Brewers would pick that up unless they trade him in the offseason.

Not power wise, which is what I wanted. This lineup NEEDS more power. As we saw last year and continually see through out the playoffs, it is REALLY hard to string together enough hits in a single inning

Personally, I'm not optimistic about him doing anything for us down the stretch. There is our history of worthless, or worse, deadline reliever pickups for one. But he really is pitching very poorly lately including allowing 18 baserunners in just 7.2 innings over his last 8 road appearances. All the good things he did was early in the year.
