Where is the bat?   But I guess I am ok with another leverage bullpen arm.

This is what I would like to know, why oh why do they never acquire bats at the deadline? They didn't last year either, and it was very obvious that's where their weakness was.

I was wondering what fringe journeyman reliever the Brewers were going to pick up in the last hour.

Have to continue that annual tradition.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I would love more power, but where would you put it? 3B I guess, but there isn't much out there who would be an upgrade from what we have. Jung maybe?

It's weird how deadline day messes around with player value.

We still have a 40 man roster crunch. Black for peanuts and cracker jack?

The Yankees failed to acquire a needed catcher.

Maybe the Brewers can send them Sanchez in exchange for one of their challenges every game. Sanchez would just waste them anyway.

Love love love this pickup. Senzatela transitioned to a cutter/sinker this year and has added fastball velo. I figured it would be a light return because he's owed quite a bit of salary. He's been crushing it in the bullpen this year and can start if needed. Great compliment to Ashby.

Third base or DH tough luck if that upsets Yelich but he needs to sit.

This is a reasonable trade. Back to sanity.

I’m surprised they didn’t try to fleece us. You’d think after the Cardinals trade every team would be looking at us like a prospect piñata.

Big Juan Martinez fan and believer - I still look back fondly at Cheesehead's ISO article in his debut DSL season. Did great things in Arizona but has struggled in limited Low-A exposure. And, Manfredi has shown real promise at times but has lacked prolonged consistency with his arsenal. We have many many up and coming DSL'ers that will compete for Martinez's innings. For now, welcome to Low-A Trey Ebel? That would be quite fun!

I mean I'm of the belief you acquire as good of a bat as you can find, and then figure it out.
