I would have bet decent money that Zach Braddock was a descendent of legendary boxer Jim J Braddock (aka Cinderella Man). I swear a Brewers announcer even made a big deal of commentating to that effect, perhaps multiple times. But looking it up to confirm now ... nope!?

The magic number for the postseason I believe is down to 4 because the Padres and Dbacks still have to play each other.

Also the magic number to eliminate the Cardinals in the NL Central goes to 0 if they lose to the Giants tonight

I think it’s 6 to eliminate the Padres because they have the tiebreaker over the Brewers and 5 to eliminate the DBacks. 89 Brewer wins plus 68 losses for both SD and AZ =157.

i believe everyone else is past the point of being able to catch the Brewers - MKE has the tiebreaker against both the Marlins and Cards, so yesterday’s win took them both out.
