Lara looks fast in the field but slow on the bases. This is just my eye test and nothing to back it up.

It is because he CONSTANTLY looks back at the ball.  When he was running to third, he kept looking back. Then when he scored, he kept looking back.  Run hard and pick up the third baseman or the on deck hitter.  Plain and simple

Enough with the bunts.

I would like to know our success rate on all our bunts? 30% maybe?

That could be and I could be wrong about him being slow on the bases.

Bichette out of the game.  Injury, or are they waiving the white flag really early?  Bichette didn't bat last inning, so I don't know what injury it could be.

Definitely feels way too early to be waiving the white flag and if they were doing that you'd think guys like Lindor and Robert would have been removed.

I think he pounded a ball off his leg

I see the game thread has reached the posters arguing about posters portion of the thread

Last couple of threads were great.  We all know why this one isn't.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Where’s all the Hamilton haters at?

Right here.  Sorry, I had open house with my class tonight and just got home.  I don't necessarily hate Hamilton, just hate how Murphy uses him.

I’m late to the game tonight. 10 minutes before first pitch, we had a sudden severe storm - it was short but lots of damage all around our neighborhood - lots of trees down & several more snapped in half. Crazy how quickly that storm happened & it is still 102 degrees outside. Our home is fine but we have no power & oddly enough - no cell signal. I am now at a nearby coffee shop about to catch up on the game with my iPad. Ironically, Dustin May’s parents live just minutes away. I see he lasted all of one pitch tongiht. That looked painful.

Line drive to the back (top shoulder of his pitching arm) on his first pitch

Not to belabor the point but Frelick could have been at 3rd if he had started running right away.

Gotta pull him out of the game and teach him a lesson.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

That’s fair but that isn’t Hamilton fault. He’s been hitting a lot better lately, his defense is solid and his speed can change the game when he gets on
