Ben Johnson: “I hate the (******)  Packers. Hate them.

Luther Burden: “He wants to beat them really bad like everyone else in the room, make them quit.”

Aaron Rodgers: “I (******) own you”

Matt LaFleur: “this game is about players and so we’ll keep it about the players. I’m not the one out there they’re playing … don’t get me wrong. I love the rivalry. It’s awesome. It’s great. It’s intense. You can feel it on gameday. You can feel it throughout the course of the week and also the significance, I mean, they’re the defending North champions. So what a great opportunity, great challenge for us in our home stadium to play against the defending champs.”

This guy just radiates toughness. The Packers must just want to run through a brick wall for him,

More importantly, why does Ben Johnson hate the Packers? That’s just gotta be rah rah BS to pump his guys up.

sure, the Packers were in the conference title game in ‘19 and ‘20 but since then they’re kind of a team that beats up on their weak division and gets pants’d in the playoffs.

Prior to Detroit, I don’t think Johnson would have built up hate for the Packers as an offensive assistant in Miami, unless he’s just a weird guy (possible).

I don't think it's even to pump up his guys. I think he knows exactly who LaFleur is and does it to get under his skin. He knows he is able to manipulate his behavior and decisions during a game by getting under his skin.

I think part of it too is I honestly don’t believe he respects MLF as a peer at all. Not sure if that comes from his days with Dan Campbell or what.

I genuinely do believe that if the Bears are in a position to run up the score and rub it in our face, he will do it.

What is the timetable for Savion Williams?

Returned to practice today, so they have three weeks to activate him

The Bears ran up the score in week one to 59 points. I don’t think it matters who the other coaches if the opportunity is there I think they would do it to any team.

But back to the original point, why would he not respect  LaFleur? He is about the most vanilla personality there is as coach in the NFL. He won a lot of games when he had good players, and has struggled when he doesn’t have the horses, again pretty non-descript.

Are there any reasonable trade options? RB, LB, OL? Tony Pollard is the only obvious guy that comes to mind.

Saquon!

Just kidding. Gutey would get fleeced. Maybe one of the guys on the Chargers?

I doubt they do much more for the OL with Zeitler, Tomlinson, and Becton.  I'm hoping Hopper gets a good chance with Cooper out - he looked good yesterday in limited play.  Not sure if Oliver could handle any off LB duties, but another option.

But LB and RB and probably the best options.

Mike Pettine joining the Cowboys defensive staff just in time for our week 6 matchup.

Should be able to get Watson or Golden open over the top in a 1 on 1 matchup against Cover 1 right before halftime when we have no timeouts.

Exactly.

Watson or Golden? Jonathan Ford could do it.

Especially when covered by an OLB.

Sky Moore reportedly moving around the locker room on a scooter wearing a boot.  Safe to say he's going to be out a few weeks.

They have an open roster spot and Savion Williams has been practicing, so good chance he's activated with only four healthy WRs on the roster.  Maybe an elevation for Neyor if Williams isn't quite ready yet or as insurance.

When Parsons is ready he likely takes Hargrave's roster spot.  Then Brinson when he's ready takes one of Jennings/Monk's spots.  Or Jordon Riley, who returned to practice today.

Haven't heard anything about Collin Oliver practicing yet.

Jacobs filed some court order to not allow the release of the video of his altercation. My guess is that it is really really bad if he is going this hard against releasing the video, I doubt he plays this year if ever again. Ray Rice 2.0???? I feel like if it wasn't that bad his representation would have at least given it to the NFL at this point.

That video should have been a public record weeks ago.  I totally understand and agree why it should 100% be "confidential" if it involves sexual assault as to protect the identity of the victim.  I don't think that should extend to a crime of this nature.  From the perspective of Jacobs, there definitely should be no reason whatsoever to block this from the public.  I don't buy the "now vulnerable to thieves" argument at all.

I also still have a big problem with the NFL sitting on it.  Court case has been over for weeks.  Now they are no longer waiting to punish him for what he did, they are waiting to punish him for how bad they may look.  The NFL doesn't really care what he did, they only care about how they will be perceived.

His salary is just another reason why I think this whole thing stinks.  If he's suspended, he does not get paid for those games.  But when on the exempt list, he gets paid.  If the NFL piddles around until after game 10, and then says he's suspended for the rest of the season, maybe the Packers have to take legal recourse to get 10 game worth of money back, and I would not assume that could be done as there may be an agreement between the NFL and NFLPA to prevent that from happening.  Even if it does end up being money out of the Packer's pocket, the league should give them a cap credit for the salary paid, as it is their dinking around that has drug this out so long.

The NFL has a clear policy of a six game suspension for domestic violence.  Jacobs has already pleaded no contest to a charge that would seem to fall under the NFL's policy.  Why should this go on any longer?  I sure hope the NFL isn't thinking a suspension of >8 games after they gave an 8 game suspension to James Pearce (aggravated battery with a deadly weapon).

Jacobs will be eligible to play against Detroit.

The NFL’s investigation will remain open and Jacobs still could be suspended but, for now, he'll be available for the Packers.

If Jacobs returns to the Packers, I'm done with them forever.  Zero excuse for why he wasn't immediately released after he assaulted his girlfriend.  I'm sick of this crap.

I have zero tolerance for domestic violence.   Really really pathetic look for MLF, BG, and whoever the idiot President is now (Ed Policy?)

LOL, NFL disciplinary policy works great.  They just punished Jacobs by giving him a fully paid 1/3+ season paid vacation.  Even if he gets suspended later, he literally just got paid 3.6 million dollars for sitting on his rear.
