Mark Attanasio appreciation thread

Many of us are old enough to remember when an 81 win season was worth celebrating.

Mark bought the team and has totally revamped the organization with bold hires and brave decisions……..and now they are the dominant team in the NL central……..

We all want a Workd Series but to have this extended run of elite regular season baseball is truly a joy.

Mark isn’t from Milwaukee but he really has become one of us.

I do not appreciate the $13 per ticket fee for playoff tickets. 

That is $500k per home game. ridiculous.

I'm still in awe about a significant portion of the fanbase complaining that Mark is cheap, especially when we don't know what the ownership group is spending on the operations that allows us to win with less payroll spend.

People really don't remember the Wendy years.

Attanasio will likely never get a credit he deserves.

Buys the Brewers and opts to keep the GM, Doug Melvin, around. Ends up a genius move and the perfect GM for the situation.

After Melvin had done as much as he could, Attanasio pivots to a younger high risk/high reward GM in David Stearns. Again this turns out to be a genius move. Actually, this is probably the biggest single transactional move in the history of the organization. 

When Stearns leaves, Attanasio decides to stay in house and simply promotes Arnold. Again, a total genius move in retrospect.

He also played a big part in putting Craig Counsell in the dugout. Which, you guessed it, proved to be a genius move. This of course is the only reason current manager, Pat Murphy, is even here to begin with.

It’s kind of crazy the Brewers have been on an upward trajectory the entirety of Attanasio owning the team…a whole quarter century.

Mark has been wonderful for the Brewers and Milwaukee. 

And you have George Petak to thank for Mark. No George Petak, no stadium; no stadium, no Mark.

Yah, understood.  But you can’t blame that on Mark A. or the Brewers.  That’s an MLB thing.
