Absolutely. Right field is definitely an offensive hole right now. Someone stepping up would be huge.

I agree to an extent. I honestly think Philly is the team you want to play, though some of that depends on Luzardo's availability.

For me, I just don't think the differences between the possible opponents are large enough to outweigh the emotional costs of losing to the Cubs. It's by far the biggest downside risk, even in terms of evaluating the season. Plus, I trust the run differential. I think the Cubs are more likely to play a low-variance game where they score 9 runs, and it's never close.

Even if the Padres can bullpen the crap out of a game, they're still largely depending on winning a one- or two-run affair. 

It goes both ways, of course. Could be more stressful playing a bunch of close games. 

I think it's a major to each their own situation...
