5-6 run innings don’t happen much in the playoffs, teams are here because they can pitch and off days allow better arms to pitch a high percentage of the innings.

That wasn’t a bad pitch by Romero that is normally a ground out to a LH batter.  Just a bit of luck on that one for the Padres.  It also wasn’t hit all that hard.  That hit carried for whatever reason.  The Machado hit was hit better but didn’t even go as far.

How do you expect them to score tonight when they mentally checked out at the deadline because they didnt get Skubal.  I was told that happened, by someone.

I’ve crapped on Yelich a lot. So I will absolutely say his plate approaches have been one of the best in the lineup for us in the NLDS at the best possible time.
