With Titletown being discussed I have to say it is great. Had a youth hockey game near Green Bay Sunday and went there afterwards to play football, go on the playground and skate on the rink while watching/hearing the Packers game. I'm sure the Packers had profit in mind but it is a family friendly area that doesn't have to cost much or anything at all.
As a Brewers fan I root for Mark to have a profitable team while spending $200 million on payroll. I hope they don't lose money because that usually leads to a lower payroll.
I find it hard to believe the Cubs would ever non tender Bryant. Imagine there would be teams willing to trade for him and pay his salary for one year.
Not an expert on player options but looks like he would have at least 1 left. With Nottingham and Freitas out of options might be depth at AAA as well.
Yeah, don't actually have an issue with his type 4, probably higher on Zamora than most but understandable if you communicate with scouts that are high on him. However, real hard to put Brown at 5 when the Brewers have neglected to protect him two years in a row. Would think Feliciano would have to be somewhere in the Brewers top 5.
I don't know, it sure look like the Pack will face the Bucs, Cardinals, Seahawks or Rams in the first round. No easy wins unless you're the Wild Card team playing the NFC East.
He would probably still be with the Orioles if he wasn't arbitration eligible. Maybe $2 million since it is the 1st year of arbitration. Would be okay as a DH but don't see the Brewers getting him.
Covid would be here with or without the wearing of masks. Doubt you would be visiting your family for Thanksgiving or Christmas either way because there is no vaccine yet and you don't want to put your family at risk.
Man, Willie Wood, Willie Davies, Herb Adderley and Paul Hornung all gone in the same year, RIP. Jerry Kramer was mentioned previously but Dave Robinson, another Lombardi era HOF player is still alive as well.
I don't think MLB teams will go that route either of raising ticket prices a large amount. Raising ticket prices does do something short term though if the capacity lost is greater than demand lost. I doubt the Brewers would have a problem selling 10,000 tickets. It could bite them in following years however if capacity increases and you turned off a certain portion of you fan base.
I Give him a lot of credit as he continues to prove his doubters wrong and gets better. Power, speed, defense and on base abilities. If he can get that average up a bit he will be one of the best in baseball. His profile is certainly higher this year playing on that fun Padre team and getting lots of national attention after that HR off Kershaw. Too bad it's not on the Brewers but good for him. Maybe the Brewers should stop trading 23 year olds to the Padres.
Feel bad for Hanel but also the charity Koos for Kids that he is so heavily involved with. There was a charity event every year where the vast majority of players and coaches attended and gave autographs/took pictures and I'm sure generated a ton of revenue for the charity.
Well it is the bar for bleak. Saying NYC was worse in March certainly doesn't mean WI is a success right now. The only people thinking he is making that claim that WI is a success are a couple of moderators here.
I'm not a hunter but concerned about my Dad and Uncles that go deer hunting every year at a family house in Upper Michigan and they bring other friends/relatives. They are alone most of the day but get back together at night. Lots of older people there and then going back home to their older spouses.
