Good comedy movies?

I can't believe nobody has mentioned The Blues Brothers. There is also A Fish Called Wanda. And Tootsie is still great. I would also recommend Wag the Dog if you like politics and The Player if you like movies.

I can't believe we had to wait til reply # 22 for Mallrats. I've only seen about 5 Kevin Smith movies, but that is by far the funniest to me. Black Sheep is my favorite Chris Farley comedy, it's always over-shadowed by Tommy Boy.

Don't know how I forgot about Mallrats. Absolutely an all-time favorite. I have not seen Dogma for whatever reason, but hopefully that will soon change.

Anchorman for sure....

I've seen a bunch of Adam Sandlar, but my personal favorite is Mr. Deeds

"You've underestimated my sneakiness" is one of my favorit quotes of any movie

Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

I'll second everything that has been mentioned thus far (with extra emphasis on Dirty Work), and will mention another favorite of mine: Trey Parker and Matt Stone's "Orgazmo." Baseketball was decent as well.

I'm not going to be able to add much for modern films, although I have an undying love for Groundhog Day.

While I'm at it, for true classics, I recommend trying Buster Keaton. In addition to the comedy bits, the stunts are great and stand up to this day. And there's something to be said for the old fashioned way of doing something like a train crash. Film a real train crashing. There's a free public domain site of Buster Keaton's films here.

robert,

THANK YOU for that Buster Keaton link. I love those movies! Very underrated in my opinion and very funny.
