I'm semi nervous about this one, I know Gallardo is a stud, but he's got big shoes to fill subbing for Sheets. Lets hope the stress doesn't get to him!

The strength of this team was supposed to be the pitching, not the hitting. Brauns' call up and Sheets' injury shifts that some but the Brewers' offense is not built to score 5 runs a game, IMO.

'ski, i'm going to have to disagree with you there.

 

With everyone healthy, this offense was built to do some damage. But Hall is down, and Rickie is in a huge slump which, IMHO, is due to that nagging wrist injury. That gives guys like Gross, Gwynn, Graffy, and Counsell extra starts they should never have. Then when the other starters need rest you have all four of those guys in there at once. And some days Miller is in there too!

 

It's a good thing that the starting pitching is coming around.

Ugh, lineup today is pretty bad, but then again Hart and Hardy are slumping, so a day's rest is needed. Everyone outside of Braun and Fielder today is pretty unintimidating.

I think we need to drop the Graffinino beef. This today's lineup would be even worse with Weeks in it the way he has been playing. Nothing like a 100% of awkward strike out or week pop to the SS.

 

At least Graffy has been making contact the last 2 months.
