How many millions has Fielder cost himself in the last month?

For football fans out there, Denver Broncos DE Elvis Dumervil is 5'11" 260 pounds. Start your comparions there.

Terrence Taylor is 6' 318 pounds and he has a body type that is much closer to Prince than Dumervil does.

Now I've never seen Prince topless, but I'd guess he'd look a bit different.

i think its time for mat gamel to go buy a first basemans glove. no one in the league is a worse defensive first baseman than fielder, so gamel cant be any worse.

and again today prince continues padding his stats in "garbage time"...

I sure hope this is a joke. While I doubt we make the playoffs we are only 2.5 games back and I fail to see how this is garbage time.

make that 1.5 back.

If Prince cost himself $5 million in August and early September, he's earned at least $3 million of it back in the last week. It's the end of the season and he's been one of the few Brewers who looks inspired instead of tired and out of shape.

I don't care what anyone says, Prince is EASILY three bills. I also could care less about what his OPS is, when is the last time he has gotten a clutch hit in a big situation (e.g. not down 8-1 or up 6-0). He seriously needs to lose the attitude and about 40 pounds or he will not be an effective player in this league anymore by the time he's 30. Dude literally and figuratively "got fat and lazy" after his big season last year.
Now THAT was a clutch hit. Prince has been making me eat my words since I made this post and I couldn't be happier.

I wish this situation could serve as an example of why you shouldn't jump to conclusions in baseball based on a quarter or even half a season. It's a very streaky sport by its nature. While it is very reasonable to suggest that Princes's weight is and will continue to have some unknown negative effect on his offensive performance, that's about all you can really say. Everything else is really just speculation.

Didn't see as much jiggle as I expected when Prince's shirt came up. Must have more of a tank than a pudge midsection.
Yeah, but I really didn't need to see this picture in the paper this morning:

OK, that's about what the size of my belly is, and I'm right at 6'0, 295. That's a scary pic. He better start eating right and taking care of himself otherwise he's going to end up like his dad, or worse, Mo Vaughn.

I'm happy Prince has turned his hitting around when we've needed it the most, and if he is a major reason we squeak into the playoffs, then I will happily eat most of my recent negative words about him. I still think he needs to get a personal trainer and be on a strict diet in the offseason to get back down to how he looked 2 years ago.

Wow, photoshop some green skin onto Prince in that photo and you have Hulk Angry!

Good heavens...he's sporting Brewers-logo'ed underwear, isn't he? The gut is one thing; the underwear detail is one I did not need to know.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Must have been coincidence that this happened after I sent Prince a box of Omaha steaks two weeks ago. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I like the caption on this picture. It sure looks like the ball is behind him. However, as I look closer, it appears it might be something that reflecting from the crowd. Like a camera flash or something.
