Headed out to the park now. Looks like Morgan gets the start in RF. Go Brewers!

Ugh. This is a big one. Go NarvDog! Probably not a good that Narveson is being counted on as a stopper this early. A home opener win would go a long way to making me feel better about the first series debacle. Good to see Morgan in RF.

Brewers bust out today. Narve goes 6 solid, offense chases Beachy in the 4th, Morgan introduces himself to Milwaukee with 2 extra base hits and a diving catch in right, McGehee hits his first homer of 2011, and Axford holds off a late Atlanta rally by striking out the side in the 9th (despite two walks). Brewers win, 8-5.

I'm predicting a Prince Fielder homerun and a Brewer victory. I'm going to work and when I get back, I hope at least the latter of those two predictions is correct.

I am happy to see Morgan in the outfield! This lineup still looks a bit ugly and will for a while yet. I don't have a good feeling about this game as Beachy has a grand total of three starts, meaning he will probably throw a complete game 2 hitter. Beachy will either be peachy, or life's a Beachy and then you lose.

So he finally gets smart and puts Morgan in the lineup and then stays dumb and leaves Gomez at the #2 spot.

I'm willing to bet right now that within the next month many will be calling for Roenicke to be gone. I'm getting really frustrated as it is, and it has only been three games.

Gomez in the 2 hole is horrendous. Morgan probably makes more sense there. Why has Nieves gotten 3 starts so far?

Anybody have rough estimates on when Hart and Lucroy are back? I'm officially in baseball season mode and I'm desperate for some good news.

His substitutions in games have been a little strange also.

Yes. I think this board is going to hate Roenicke in time. He certainly doesn't strike me as a numbers guy, which is bad news around here. Everything has been about feel and communication so far, which is great, but it needs to be combined with sound decision making as well.

I have a good feeling about Roenicke, long-term. He'll make some decisions which don't make sense, but overall I think he'll be a good manager. I like the fact that Nyjer Morgan is starting today, that is a good and fairly quick adjustment to realizing that Kotsay isn't looking good.

i'm stuck in class all day...and i live in atlanta so it's one of the few times mlb.tv isn't going to pay off for me. if anyone finds a stream online, let me know. thanks!

one win can go a long way for making everyone feel better about this past weekend, go crew.

It's going to be awesome listening to Coshun, Augustine and Nelson all year talking about how awesome having veterans like Counsell and Kotsay for a championship caliber team.

Have they announced the super secret mystery thrower/throwers of the first pitch?
