I either want a no hitter or perfect game or I want one of the Brewers to bunt for a hit. That would be hilarious.
Just imagine the perfecto/no-no being broken up with a bunt. That would be unbelievably amazing. Classy Nation would sue.

Why would Melvin go? How is any if this his fault? (And yuni as our SS us not a valid reason)
Because at some point, the buck has to stop at the GM and you have to stop firing managers.

Melvin was given a top of the line farm system when he came to Milwaukee and Attanasio has steadily increased his payroll. The results, however, just haven't been there. Now, after two years of failing to realize we didn't have any pitching, he went all in and so far, it isn't going very well.

I have to imagine Attanasio has been watching games this week and wondering to himself how he can buy the Dodgers.

Also, Braun looked as if he had committed himself to swinging at the first 3 pitches he saw, no matter where they were, just to get this over with.

nice inning, McClendon.

Good lord, hitters. Come on.

Okay, here we go, let's get something. Anything.

A team of streaky hitters will look something like this sometimes. But I can't remember a time when an entire team seemed so disinterested.

What's gonna be more annoying....the rousing ovation they give Garcia when he gets his perfect game broken up, or if he actually pitches a perfect game? I'd go with when it gets broken up.

SO CLASSY.

because he dealt away the entire farm to go for it this year/next year, but in doing so put together a mediocre team.

terrible D at 3B, terrible D at SS, terrible D at 1B, so-so D in RF (hart), below average D in LF, so-so D at 2B. that negates this good starting rotation he put together

a huge black hole on offense at CF,and SS. below average offense at C. only average O at 3B and RF (sorry, but neither Hart nor McGehee should be two of your 2/5/6 order hitters on a contending team, maybe one of those spots + 7th).

That is not the team you put together when you deal away the farm to put a team in "win now" mode. He also has no prospects to deal at the deadline to make a splash if the team needs something for a push, to go along with the terrible depth on the team.

Also, with the winning under 85 is a major disapointment, I disagree with this, there was a 50/50 chance this team would finish with 85 wins or less, so I don't see how under 85 would be a major disapointment if it was a coin flip finishing above or below this line. (I say this because Vegas had the over/under for Brewer wins this year at 85.5)

My prediction.... Yuni breaks up the game with two outs in the 8th. He will be scorned here for doing so. Poor guy can't do anything right.

Close.

Side note: Yuni blows. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

No perfect game, no no hitter... unfortunately, what really matters has changed little. The Brewers are still most likely going to lose. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

After tonight we could be tied for worst team in the national league. What a disgrace.

And only 5.5 GB with a chance to make it 3.5 by Monday.

I think the packers are going to have a hell of a team this year. HELL of a team.

Me too. I've got my fingers crossed in hopes that we actually get to see them play though.

Can we just score 6 to tie it and go into extra innings just to see how many in a row McClendon can get through tonight?

He certainly has to be the bright spot tonight. Hopefully this solidifies his spot in the pen for the remainder of the year.
Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

This might be the earliest in the year a Brewers' season has become hilarious. At this point, I was legitimately hoping he'd throw a perfect game.
