By my review of the numbers, Narv has given up 7 HRs all season. Of those, 6 were with men on base and 5 with more than one runner on base.

Just got home .. did my fan duty of voting for Rickie a pile of times... and saw Narvy vs. Niemann. With Hellickson/Price waiting for us the next two days ... tonight is a good one to get. Come on Chris!

I used all three of my emails and voted the max for Weeks, Braun (doesn't need it), Fielder (probably doesn't need anymore with the great news about Pujols), and Lucroy. Did my part, so hopefully this homestand can get some sellouts and get some votes for Rickie.

During his last start, I checked the game logs and I think I came up with 2 grand slams and 4 3-run homers.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

I hold my breath every time I look at the lineup. I shouldn't have to be worried about our manager starting Kotsay.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

This should be an interesting series, my 2 favorite franchises and a player in Niemann that I beat the drum to acquire in 2008.

I can't believe Yuni is in the top 5 of SS in the NL in voting. What does that say about SS in the NL? Brewers fans? Yuni's mainstream appeal?

I really love our line up against RHP. Well, I really wish we had just an average short stop, but besides that, this is a really solid 1-9 especially with my confidence in McGehee growing every game.

It says that Brewers fans really like clicking the mouse and punching the ballots.

Go Brewers. Keep things in check, Narvdog.

Edit: Just got the updated lineups...I'll edit the lead post shortly and even get the teams on the right sides!

Just heard Ryan Braun is out with a respiratory infection, Kotsay in left and Corey Hart batting 3rd

Is a respiratory infection bad, usually how long is someone out with that?
Depends. Could be a cold, could be the flu, could be something in between. You'd think something a bit more disruptive than a common cold, since Ryan is not playing.

Edit: The media guide confirms that this is Tampa Bay's first trip to Milwaukee for a series, and only the second series overall between the two teams.

Antibiotics will cure it 95% of the time within a week, probably just a couple days. He'll probably be available as a pinch hitter today if necessary, maybe miss 1 or 2 more games but they can probably manage it with medication to cover the symptoms in the short term until the antibiotics kick in.

Narv: could you be effective? Do I have to be in the middle of typing a post like this before you can record an out?
