Airplane Repo

Some of the scenes are embellished/recreated for dramatic purposes, but it's hilarious. Of course, even though a couple of months ago I watched a few episodes of Season 1 (I think around Christmas/New Years) on TV, I now have to pay for Season 1. The last episode of Season 2 is a riot.

Anyone here watched Boardwalk Empire?

I just started it, and am hooked. Love the gangster/mobster subject matter, and taking place in the 20's during prohibition and the depression just makes icing on the cake...….imo

Loved Boardwalk Empire. Like most shows, it was time for it to go by the end, but the fact that it had a typical HBO limited run made it so it didn’t go on too long.

Boardwalk Empire is an excellent show. I really liked it as well when it was on. Thumbs up for trying something different.

The new season of Tacoma FD has been really funny if you want something silly to laugh at.

I spit my drink out with the snake explosion.

Those guys are hilarious. I've even been watching the Talkoma FD that is after the show. It's been funny to hear those guys rib each other a bit.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I have been watching Picard this weekend and you are going to have forgive me for not keeping up on trekkie news but Seven of Nine is back!!!! A little aged but then so am I. I'd still....

Watched the Schitt's Creek finale last night. Went into it fully expecting to be filled with sadness and emotions. What an underwhelming series finale that was. Not bad, just meh. Outside of Moira's outfit, nothing memorable.

She is soooooooo fine on Boston Public, a show that ran in the early 2000's about a high school in Boston. Loved that show, loved her even more!

Just got done with Better Call Saul. Hot take, I think it's better than Breaking Bad. Now started Ozark, not a top 5 or 10 show for me but really good.

Better Call Saul is GREAT tv, and I am inclined to agree with you, or at least say they are equal in quality...

I have yet to start Ozark, but it is on my list.

I must be the only person left in the USA who hasn't seen any Tiger King yet. Honestly, I have no intention of doing so. The overexposure in memes and media hype is enough for me to veto the idea of watching.

Yea, I'll probably get around to Tiger King sometime but I have like 15 things on my watch list before that.

Haven't seen Tiger King. No interest and don't have Netflix either.

Wife and I are watching Shaun the Sheep. Yes its for little kids but it's pretty funny. So if you have little kids you can watch it with them and not go insane.

I just binged Castlevania on Netflix, and I was really entertained. The amount of gore and body parts might be a turn off to some people, but the story telling is actually really well done, and yeah, it's another "Dracula is kind of a sympathetic character, in a way, if you look at it in a certain light" story, but there's enough going on to make it worth watching. Unlike a lot of Netflix originals, it's got a nice pacing to it, and it doesn't drag with a lot of unnecessary exposition to lengthen the seasons. Worth watching if you don't mind a lot of semi-realistic cartoon gore and gratuitous F-Bombs.

Speaking of vampires, What We Do in the Shadows is back on FX. Love that show.

Question. Do I have to have watched Breaking Bad to watch Better Call Saul?

I haven't watched BCS but since it's a prequel it might be better to watch it before Breaking Bad.

For the most part, no. You could definitely watch Better Call Saul before Breaking Bad.

However, there will also be characters and other things that you could understand MUCH better if you saw Breaking Bad first. That's just my opinion, though.

I would also add that, at least for me, having seen Breaking Bad adds some intensity to some scenes that involve characters that *aren't* in Breaking Bad because you know they're not around anymore, one way or another.

My wife and I are finally binging The Wire. We have HBO, but just so everyone knows, a bunch of their shows are free right now online.

The Wire has been on my to do list for ages, have just never gotten around to seeing it... So HBO is currently free?

Also, another oldie but goodie is Boston Legal.

William Shatner and James Spader are just excellent in this show. They just feed off each other in so many ways.

I have been watching 2 episodes at night before bed, and I can't get enough. I bought the entire series on dvd several years ago, but have just got around to plugging it in. It is just awesome.

I did watch it live when it originally aired, but I appreciate it now even more.
