Kinda surprised Peralta got another inning. I would think CC would have had a more conservative pitch count for him, but so far the decision is paying off.

I think he made the mistake of assuming it was going to be a force out at 2nd....then when it was bobbled it was too late.

I love seeing the smile on Peralta's face while he tips his hat to the cheering crowd. Excellent performance. He is so happy about it and not afraid to show it.

Granted the usual caveats such as that his opportunities thus far have been against the Rockies, Twins, Pirates, and Royals, but for the most part Freddy Peralta has looked the part and then some.

 

I am on board with him being in the rotation for the foreseeable future.
