Oh boy, I missed me some Villar in the lead off spot. I had a pretty good suspicion Broxton was going to get the start against the lefty. Counsell plays guys if they come up.

This is a lineup I expect to get pummeled. But Brent Suter is on the mound and he is gritty. I am reversing expectations and predicting a 6-3 win.

The line up wasn't great to begin with, but with Shaw and Cain out of the lineup it's even worse. Then add in the lefty starter and Thames hits the bench too...

Luckily, Suter has been pitching well and the Royals aren't good so they still have a shot with this rag tag line up.

3-2 Brewers.

Tonight's lineup is kinda how I would like to see the top 5 till Cain comes back and with Shaw.

Thames/yelich

Braun

Thames/yelich

Aguilar

Shaw

Woof, lineup is hard to swallow without Cain, Shaw, and Thames in there. And unless Keon is on one of his rare hot streaks he is often a bigger black hole than Arcia and Pina have been.

So naturally...probably 9-2 Brewers today.

For those with a VR device, the game is also available on the Next VR app.

I tried it last week and it was disappointing, though still pretty neat overall. It's not really in VR, but rather sits you in a virtual theater and shows the telecast on a giant, theater-size movie screen. You can also choose to sit with other people who are watching and actually talk to them with your microphone.

I watched highlights of some NBA and NFL games and those were much more "VR." For the NBA highlights, the view was from behind the basket and everything was three dimensional, so it really felt like you were there. NFL highlights were from the sideline, again feeling like you were standing there (I even moved my foot out of the way when a ref ran by).

With MLB, you're just watching the broadcast on a gigantic screen. Still cool, but not mind blowing.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this lineup looks very very weak. I get that we are stacking RH bats against a lefty, but this is still probably one of the weakest lineups we've posted all season.

It's fairly telling regarding Pina/Arcia that Broxton generally struggled in AAA and still hits 6th in his first start...ahead of both Pina and Arcia.

It IS disappointing to see them on Facebook Watch . . . again.

But, the alternative is them not being on tv at all, so . . . .

(of course, that's what radio is for.)

I'll guess Brewers 6 Royals 2

why do we get stuck on FB? Damn, this must be our 3rd time. Lame.

One look at the lineup and it is easy to see why Stearns has to be busy the next 30 days. There is a reason why we have been shut out so many times.

Early criticism of the lineup, again? Has this team and their success this year not shown the folly of fan brow beating at lineups?

We are not all as socially advanced as you...

Correction: the app is Oculus Venues for the game today.

Looks like the Royals also have a starting SS that can't hit as high as the Mendoza line. I don't think we have missed out on anything since trading this guy.
