Does allowing 10 baserunners in two innings subject Williams to Colorado Springs bullpen roulette?

It should. He looks gassed. Maybe Albers can take his spot.

Nothing the Brewers do now is going to make the difference for 2018. I'm absolutely sure of this. Hopefully we land in the wild card, but I don't see this top 25 man roster seriously competing in a post season series, even with the extra 15 at our disposal.

The one move I'd really love to see before the deadline is getting Realmuto from Miami. His 151 OPS + is likely unsustainable, but I love his profile. He could be had without selling the farm. That's a real nice piece going forward, as he's only 27 with 486 Major League games.

What is our upcoming starting pitching looking like especially now that Suter is likely headed to the DL? Guerra? Davies? Peralta? When will they be back?

Chacin tomorrow and then who?

I don’t know your definition of selling the farm, but Realmuto is going to be as costly as it can possibly get. Hiura + other strong pieces.

Yeah Realmuto is going to be a Yelich comparable price and they have made it clear to the Nationals that they need Robles or Soto back for him, so we'd need to pony up Hiura plus. I guess that's selling the farm to me although given Realmuto's control through 2020 I don't have a big issue.

If Realmuto could be acquired inexpensively he probably would have been a Brewer on opening day.

Chacin, Guerra, Peralta. Then presumably Miley and Anderson.

It's hard to believe that 2 hours ago we had a 2 run lead, bases loaded and 1 out, and it looked like it was going to be a really good day.

Things can change so quickly, can't they? That's part of the greatness of baseball, and the seemingly perpetual frustration of being a Brewers fan.

I'm getting through this rough patch by repeating, "they're ahead of schedule, they're ahead of schedule" over and over again, assuming (hoping) that good things are going to come.

This time next year, God willing, Arcia has righted the ship with his bat, and Huira is manning second base full time. Santana has at least found some of his power, and Aguilar doesn't regress terribly. A healthy Jimmy Nelson to start the season, joined by Burnes in the rotation (?), and things could start progressing quite nicely.

That's me hanging on to the ship in the middle of the storm.

Sophia claims Freddy threw two scoreless innings for the Trats in his start Wed. Not the case since I was there and seen him give up a run in the second....

The biggest comeback in Brewer history in the 9th that I can remember was 7 runs, down 9-2, they tied it and won on a Jose Hernandez walk off in the 10th at County Stadium, today could be the day they finally have a bigger one.

Counsel finally finds a reliever who’s throwing well and what does he do? Pulls him for Kratz!!!

Kratz has a sweet knuckle ball though...

Literally the best part about this game was getting 3 scoreless innings from Perez and Kratz.

I wonder how much ribbing Barnes is going to get for getting struck out by Kratz. I still remember Counsell getting struck out by Jeff Cirillo.

If Craig Counsell remembered the details of every one of his failed plate appearances he would have an intellect that would make Stephen Hawking seem like an idiot...
