Hill pitching to his defense nicely.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Are people really complaining about schoop after he just hit our hardest ball of the night? I get he has been bad but that ball was smoked. Just unlucky. Just like Braun's an inning ago

He hits a bullet and still gets ripped.

I think you have to give Arby and hope he rebounds, can flip for something at the deadline or play it out. 10 mil is a lot per year but not having to give a multi year commitment is a big help, making it very low risk. they gave up too much to give up so quickly. Can even offer arby then just take what you can get to recoup your losses. Someone will buy low due to the low risk one year commitment

I saw him hit into a double play.

Schoop has absolutely no business being on the World Series roster. Or the 2019 Brewers.

It would certainly be preferable to get a 2B who is more of a contact hitter that can bat in the #2 hole. I don't think Schoop is a bad player per se ... it's just that this lineup has too many free swinging power guys already. We need a mix, and 2B is the prime place to do it.

I've been a big Schoop defender, just looking at his body of work overall. Not necessarily that AB alone.

The other thing to remember about Schoop is that it's not like he's a lefty killer. He strongly favors RHP like most of the rest of the team, but he's been forced into the role of lefty specialist because Shaw is so much better vs. RHP. Not an easy position for him to be in.

I still think he is offered arby. It will be a very reasonable number and with his ceiling he is the type of player the Brewers like. He has been other worldly bad, but I would like to see him back with a spring training and fresh start.

Then you saw what you wanted. Yes that is what happened but he also hit an absolute rocket. He looked bad before that but seriously sometimes you just get unlucky.

Which is a fail on Stearns part for acquiring a player who didn’t really fit on the roster.
